Yes, you are right Margaret. He made me cry too. People are monsters to abandon an innocent puppy and attach him to let him die of starvation and diseases instead of drop him off in front of a shelter or a vet clinic or a house' door. I don't know, I would never be able to act like that when you think that animals are sometimes better than humans. We all know that pets are humans best friends.

Could be that kids tried to "take care of him" like that since their parents refused to shed some buck for his treatment. I can't think of any other explanation, but at least he wasn't brutally killed. We lack dedicated people whom one can call for a rescue/foster in Bulgaria and perhaps someone thought that that's the best that can be done for that puppy to save it from a mercy killing. Vet care (and even simple pet care) is out of scope for the vast majority of people here and usually nobody knows what to do in such cases, or worse, doesn't even care.

@@Radii_DC When adopting a dog, it is your responsibility to take care of the dog's needs. If there are costs that you can't handle, you can hand the dog in to a shelter so that they might be able to cover the cost. Or you make sure that the dog is as well as it can be at the end of its life, or if it's possible let the vet give the dog a humane death. You don't tie it down alone where people rarely go by, with no water and food. Left to face a horribly agonizing death. Even children should be equipped with empathy, if they have been brought up at all. Also, people who don't want puppies should neuter their dog.

@@whatever2506 Yeah, also, if you can't handle a dog anymore, it is usually better to try find it a better family than surrendering it to a shelter. I have heard that dogs here are not treated very well in the municipal shelters, if not euthanised.

I hate people, dogs are way better. I work at a Lowes and people bring their dogs in and lots of the dog owners act super duper controlling over their dogs, like the dog is theirs, when in actuality the dog is a living being with a personality. Evil people take advantage of dogs because they’re generally sweet and friendly. People are super greedy that’s the problem

Unconscionable, heartless cruelty. He seems to be only a puppy. Thank God you came along and rescued him. Thank you and vet for all of your care. This was one month ago. Has he recovered? Is there a part 2? I am hoping he did and you found him a loving home. I think Giardia is found mostly in cats from drinking dirty water. I didn't know dogs get it too. Must be a bacterial thing? How can any human be so cruel, what if animals ruled the world and did that to us, how would you feel? But dogs that get treated like this still want to give love to another family.
