The way that I see it, "Bullying" is any type of repeated and targeted behaviour that is used with the intent of making the victim feel "lesser" in one way or another. Whether that is by making them feel stupid, weak, ugly, incompitent, unlovable, alone, etc.

Men get a lot of shit because the way they do it is so in your face. Beating you up, or hurling insults in your face. Women can be more subtle or indirect about it, hiding behind the line of acceptability and layers of plausible deniability. It's much harder to punish someone turning others against you or spreading untraceable and unverifiable lies to ruin you. Most "passive" aggression goes under the radar, many times they even manage to make you the bad guy for retaliating or calling them out.
@Skippy1981227 күн бұрын
I hate that we have to have these stupid disclaimers every time we discuss women in a less than glowing terms. It's not misogynistic to point out that women can be bullies. It would be misogynistic to avoid the discussion altogether. We shouldn't infantalize women by absolving them of their bad behavior. More importantly, aggressive women mostly bully other women. Turning a blind eye to the bullying because of some silly unspoken social rule about not criticizing women is hanging the mostly female victims out to dry. Women, like men, are adults and as adults they have responsibilities. One of those responsibilities is to not act like a dick to other adults. If you're going to act like a dick you should expect to be called out for it, regardless of gender.

It's the fact that in the U.S., *anything* physical will get harshly punished. Drinking age is 21 here and providing alcohol to a minor is potential prison time. If you get caught doing that, literally police might be involved depending on how the teachers and admins react. Peppers in the coke is less likely to get as severe a reaction, but it's still a potential criminal level activity in most places. The reason you see this kind of social destruction behavior a lot more in the U.S. is because everything else tends to have far harsher consequences.
@DarthSidian26 күн бұрын
The difference between misandry and misogyny is that the former is entirely accepted now. The latter is a term used for literally anything that isn't glazing women as a collective to high hell. Women aren't perfect. Quite the opposite, actually. Same with men. Humans as a whole, across all categories, from different ethnic groups to the two sexes to whatever, have a fair bit to work on. The "Man VS Bear" thing is also a very clear vehicle to degrade men as a whole for the actions of a startlingly present and vocal minority. Rape is bad, no one in their right mind would say otherwise and mean it. However, rapists are (thankfully) still quite uncommon, though it would be better if they were eliminated entirely, by whatever means are necessary. Leading into my point with that: The bear will eat you alive. No ifs, ands, or buts. The statistical likelihood of the man in the woods that you get turning out to be a rapist is _extremely_ low, _far_ lower than the likelihood of the bear killing and eating you if it decides out of nowhere that it's better off without you there. Hating all men is cringe. Hating all women is also cringe. The modern world is a delusion-riddled mess and people suck. But not _everyone_ sucks. There's still some light in the dark. For now, at least. It's fading, along with my confidence in feeling justified in allowing the human species to keep existing, but it's still there.

I had a major revelation from this. This is why people pick on sexy girls in videogames, they trigger female bullying. I'm thinking of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, Bayonetta from Bayonetta, 2B from Nier Automata, and recently Eve from Stellar Blade. They're so attractive they feel threatened that they're not the prettiest girl anymore, and so they attack them with slander. They stop bullying the pretty fictional girls when their fanbase gets too big, like when a victim gets too many friends to exclude the victim.

the whole "man vs. bear" thing was so dumb to me because the bear is 100% going to kill you. either you kill the bear or the bear kills you. you could live with the man, you do not get that option with the bear. the man has an upside, the bear does not, and yes both of them have potential bad outcomes but one has good outcomes and the other doesn't. for the love of god I don't want to hear about this again-
@jackbluehq665327 күн бұрын
The whole man vs bear is dumb as you say They bring up the argument that men statistically kill women more. And like yeah, that's cause the MAJOIRTY of bears (which is tiny compared to the amount of men) do not live in envioments where people are. If there was billions of bears living in city's there would be literally hundreds of millions if not billions of cases of both women and men getting killed or attacked.

bullying is simply the act of denigrating someone without any considerable provocation. bruh....there is good reason that women get such aggressive pushback and have soo many people immediately jump to further justifying "me-soggy-knees". there is significant pushback in real life from any act justification no matter the legitimacy of reason. there is also this constant need to justify general standards and views, god forbid anyone actually says any thing about "women as a whole", when it is women as a whole who sanctioned, venerated and stood alongside these wrong doers for years until oh no, men are here to take the whole community to court for it.

2:25 Motives vary of course. But many people will "rejoice" about those videos, because many of society's problems have been purposefully branded so that victims are always women and perpetrators are always men. But the truth is that anyone can be "toxic" (god I hate that word), abusive, commit domestic violence. And anyone can be a victim. And many people see that. So they are happy if someone once in a while talks about the other side of the matter. In many countries, about 50% of the perpetrators of domestic violence are women. Some difference can be found in the type of domestic violence.
