Pay It All Back Revisited | Highlights from On-U Sound's 40th Anniversary Celebration

This time last year many of us were gathered in London for the belated On-U Sound 40th anniversary celebration at the Forum, a joyous evening spent in the company of as much of the roster as we could cram onto one stage, and a sizeable gathering of our lovely fans from all over the world.
Brother Mike Hodgson has assembled this highlights reel, featuring excerpts of Denise Sherwood, Rita Morar, Horace Andy, Creation Rebel, GAUDI, African Head Charge and Tackhead. Most poignantly of all given his recent passing, the evening was closed out by the great Mark Stewart, backed by Tackhead in Maffia mode. On brilliant form as always, Mark closed out proceedings in fine style.
Mark was once asked in an interview how he would like to be remembered, he replied: "memories are fuel to burn for a brighter future of impossible possibilities". Adrian Sherwood comments: “Thank you my brother. You were the biggest musical influence in my life and our extended family will miss you so so much. Love forever.”

I'll never forget seeing African Head Charge and Dub Syndicate at Glastonbury 1994. Lovely sunny afternoon. The reggae re-issue label Pressure Sounds is still going strong. Thanks folks ❤❤❤🎵🎶🎵🎶

The best On-U gig I ever went to was at some tiny little pub in London with Keith Le Blanc from Tackhead doing just a solo drum set and standing next to Adrian Sherwood watching him twiddle knobs on this huge mixing desk and just listening to magic happening. That was a good night! Anyone else remember that night?
