Pay Off Your Laser with One Sheet of Material

Hi everyone!
In this video I cover how I would pay off my laser machine with just one sheet of material.
While it sounds too good to be true, you cannot argue with the math!

Material used: 1/8" white MDF
Amazon Paint Pens: www.amazon.com...
Amazon Earring Posts: www.amazon.com...

Going rate for most stud earring sets online tends to be $8-$12, so we did an average of $10 per set.
With the capability of fitting 380 sets on there given this machines workspace, that could leave you with total sales of $3800.
Subtract $5 for the material, another $10 for the the paint markets, and another $10-$20 for the actual studs, and you are left over with a ton of profit to pay off your machine from one sheet of material.
Best thing about this is you can even sell a half a sheet of earrings, and still come out with enough to pay off your machine and have money left over all from a single sheet.
We also recommend that you have your customers pay for shipping. No need to absorb those costs. Save that as an enticement for larger, more expensive orders.

Am considering a laser machine so was keen to see what this was about, don’t wish to be negative but a few Q … I get the 10x sale per item so the maths is easy… BUT , when you build in , material cost, electricity cost, time , postage , seller cost if using Etsy, eBay etc ? Would love to see the NET profit on the 380 sets of earrings to gauge actual write down on cost of the machine 🤔

Great quesitons and concerns. A large laser (not like the one shown in the video) only uses about the same energy as a microwave. The one shown would be significantly less. As mentioned in the description, we encourage people to charge thier custonmers for shipping. No need to pay for shipping on such low ticket items.

A bit misleading, but you fo note in the comments you haven't actually sold any of thus, so right now there is no income. It may take several years to sell them. There are a lot of costs involved in going to craft fairs. Table / booth costs, displays, travel, taxes, replacement laser tube costs- you are easily looking at another $2-5000 you need to account for. Your numbers are optimistic and not based in reality. But hey, if it was easy, everyone would do it. You have to put in the thousands of hours and lots of money to succeed. Good luck! You might be the one to make it work.

How much extra work do you put into finishing those earrings? Like painting them, adding the hooks, packaging and shipping them and so on?

Took me just a few minutes to finish all 6 pairs. Not much work at all. With studs, it's just gluing as well. The process goes very quickly.
