Pay To Lose

Lightning McQueen is the new car in Rocket League but it is actually pay-to-lose. It is using altered Dominus hitbox where the hitbox is shifted backwards from the center of mass which makes the car reach the ball later and have weaker flicks than Dominus.
In this video we are trying this challenge where we are trying to win whonly allowed to score directly off a pass with ‪@PulseMK‬

Loved the "if you know you know" thing at 2:18 haha. I've amazed myself so many times over the years by subconsciously knowing the ten second timer for boost respawns and grabbing them on spawn or playing around their timing. Definitely an underappreciated aspect of RL game sense

I know the musty flicks are nerfed with this car, and it's objectively further back than the regular dominus, but would that fact mean front flip flicks would be slightly more powerful because you can get an extra touch with the back of the car?

my problem about the prices and taking away trading is that most the players in RL wont be able to enjoy these cars that come out, most the player base is 8-15 which cant legally cant get a job in most countries and they are making prices so high that parents dont want to pay $15-25 for a in game item. Trading is what made rocket league such a fun game so you didnt have to ask parents or take out your wallet for $15-20 for a single in game item instead you could have just gotten a few trades in then bam you have it.

But isn't the disadvantage only psychological? The hit box is exactly the same shape (so not shorter), so you just need to get used to it being relatively more towards the back of the visual car. Or are the kick-off spawns not based on hitbox, but mass of center?

FR ! flicks are not the same with car. Getting clips or clippesed by this car is hilarious imo 😂 But yeah flicks man gotta hold jump a bit longer and the side power at slow speeds is just not there in comparasion Monster basic front flicks tho and easy to perfect ground carry(0 sparks)

This car feels completely off to me, I find it very hard to use. Flicks either go straight to the ceiling or get absolutely 0 power, flipping into the ball gives like 0 power and dribbles are a lot harder than usual with any other car I use. I just feel extremely nerfed when I use this car. But its lightning mcqueen 😭

You have to flick the ball with it more towards the back of the car. You can get some pretty crazy power on ypur flicks if you get the hang of it.

Ik Lightning McQueen has a modified hitbox, but I'm I the only one that wanted more than just passing plays. Yeah I know the flicks are worse but there still could have been flip resets, air dribbles, weird plays, and just having fun messing around. I just feel like there should be another Lightning McQueen vid u just do what u normally do with the other car vids.

It makes no sense that moving the hitbox back would make the flick potential worse. If anything it should make it better.

For the front flicks more consistent flicks but almost all the best flicks like 45/musty etc are flicked using the front of the car that is now relatively shorter cuz the center of mass is closer to the front.

It's all due to them only pushing the hitbox back without moving the center of mass, I gave the critique why it's not good, not saying them switching hitbox is a bad idea
