To everyone complaining about this song being too electronic: What do you want from a remix? This is a serious question. If you want a song with the same rhythm as the original double cross with the same focus on drum and bass as the original double cross and generally the same aesthetic as the original double cross, then why not listen to the original double cross? I dont think Simon would ever be able to make an imitation of the original double cross that is more effective at what it does than the original already is. Instead of imitating with this track, he's iterating. He's turning the work into something different, something incomparable to the original. Is it better or worse than the original? Whose to say? The two songs are trying to say different things.

Jeez, it's THE THIRD time you mention how you hate Home Invasion 2016 in the same comment section, with your only argument being that it's "garbage". Home Invasion 2016 is an excellent track that catches the "bigger, better" feeling of Payday 2 very well, having slow samples of the original replaced by dynamic drum'n'bass without alienating the original melody way too much.

@@theblue-hattedbush8377 Heat Street was a hell of a jump from First World Bank in Payday: The Heist. Not just the map design, but the game's difficulty was a lot more... Old school and linear. FWB being the first mission, most anyone can do it in a try or two. Heat Street was the second and it expected you to have grinded FWB a bit. I have very distinct memories of it being my rude awakening :p

Well, the song's not bad at all, but I personally think it doesn't fit the original Heat Street. It's very different from the original, too much electronic. The old one was good with that focus on the drums and the bass, this one seems to be a somewhat generic song for your average heist. A bit sad coming from our lord Viklund.

In Payday: The Heist he was simply just greedy for money, but in Payday 2 it's because I'm guessing someone related to Murkywater or the dentist hired Matt to try and disrupt the payday gang and he had information related to Kento if I'm remembering correctly. correct me if I'm wrong

It's an okay remix, but WAY too much electronic. That's also why I'm not a fan of GMG 2015. I wish Simon kept the control part style for the assault as well, it's a nice mix of both styles. But at least it doesn't sound like pure garbage unlike Home Invasion 2016. :^)

That's why I actually like Norén's tracks a lot. More guitar-driven and sounds more like PDTH (not enough bass though). It's true that his riffs sound similar but he still has a lot to learn to improve. Simon is still the lord of versatility, and Break the Rules was brilliant.
