My favorite part of the Heist where getting the code doesn't work anymore. The whole gang realise they are siting ducks and can't get the vault to open anymore. The sheer, fucking, panic on these guys. And even if i did this heist on loud thousands of time in Payday 2, I realised "oh no it didn't went well the first time...". Hearing Bain mumbling his way out of that pickle was not only hilarious, but also really nerve racking. The Bain i know runs plan like clockwork because he overworked the plan like crazy. He knows the in and out of every single corner of bank, warehouse or mansion he plan to rob. But hearing him saying "They must have changed them really recently!" made me realise that now his plan his fucked and he must work off nothing. He got insanely lucky that it goes """""relatively""""" well, he was forced to kill a civilian, something he ain't exactly cool with. Bain is good at planning, but he's also grew really good at thinking on the spot and make shit up that work out. Locke is good at being a handler, Joy is a good hacker, but Bain was a beast behind a computer screen.

I think also the fact this is the closest the gang are physically with Bane when he does the interrogation bits in the helicopter makes it feel like he's stepping in to make sure this goes through, its completely possible he could've been caught or killed but to physically interrogate the CFO and the CEOs son in person means he's pulling out all the stops

The police has already anticipated that the gang will be here. Just look at the amount of securities and what they are holding. Normal securities won't just hold their gun up like that. However in PD2 they don't.

For me it is more likely that the security is walking around with their guns out because somebody just shut down the camera system, meaning a (very) possible intruder, paired with the fact that as there is a party with guests, including the CFO and CEO's son, taking the camera system shutdown as a technical failure would be too risky in case of the intruder scenario as an intruder could hurt the guests and sort of VIPs, so the security just went into extra cautious mode, with orders to report anything suspicious as we heard from their radios. Of course, I don't want to disprove the ambush theory, as that is likely too, but in my opinion, the security argument can be disproved.

@@OttoVonGrillhelm I know I know, I'm late. I think it's obvious that the security called the police, and the most expected nutcracks to rob this place was a payday gang. Everyone knew someone was in the place, but didn't have the confirmation yet. They couldn't launch an assault without risking hitting too early and giving the gang a chance to escape Even Wolf mentions that the vault is a bad place to be in, this is why the ambush was here

But generally I took your reply into consideration and it makes sense, except one thing - assuming the police wasn't just waiting around in the vault forever, hoping the payday gang will hit it, they would've had to get in there, organize and hide, and that would take some time. I would assume that the security called the police after the camera system shut down - but the gang shut down the cameras shortly before entering the building, so there wouldn't even be enough time for the cops to get to the building. Overall the assault thing is weird in this heist.

PDTH was a much darker and grittier game and the soundtrack reflects that. Doesn’t mean I can’t like the PDTH versions of the tracks more than their PD2 remixes, though. Dear god they butchered Breach of Security and Gunmetal Grey in PD2. Double Cross’s remix isn’t great either, but at least that one was left mostly intact.

​@@jakoskiI feel the only PD:TH track that got butchered in translation to PD2 was Gunmetal Grey, pretty much everything else did a good job of interpreting the original tracks while putting their own spin on it. Like I personally Prefer tracks like Breach 2015, Home Invasion 2016, and Code Silver 2018 to their PD:TH originals. Doesn't make the originals bad, as I don't think Simon has ever made a bad track, I just prefer the Remade tracks. It's perfectly valid if you don't though 👍

Shadow Raid would be entertaining. OVK should make the loud version really stressful, like in-game, with a bunch of snipers and the crew constantly jumping in and out of cover to try to retaliate while other cops attack. That would be awesome!
