My iPhone Says No SIM Card! Here's The Fix.

David & David explain how to fix the problem when an iPhone says "No SIM." The first thing to do is eject your SIM card and check for damage. It's also a good idea to reinsert the SIM tray without the SIM card to make sure it fits properly. If it doesn't fit well, it may be the incorrect tray. Sometimes used phones for sale on eBay or Craigslist are "repaired" with incorrect parts.
Once you've checked your SIM card and SIM tray for damage, reinsert the SIM card and see if your iPhone connects to your carrier's network.
Next, check for a carrier settings update. Apple and your wireless carrier regularly release these updates to help improve your iPhone's connection to your carrier's cellular network.
Restart your iPhone if no carrier settings update is available. Then, try reseting the network settings on your iPhone. This resets all Cellular, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and VPN settings to factory defaults (so make sure you know your Wi-Fi passwords).
If your iPhone still says No SIM, try out a friend's SIM card to see if your iPhone won't work with any SIM, or if there's just an issue with your SIM card. In either case, we recommend contacting your wireless carrier before going to Apple. Carriers are usually most responsive on Twitter!

Mine says no sim card but when I restart it works again and the sim is detected but then it ends up doing the "no sim card" again eventually

Put the sim in another iphone and see if it does the same thing and vice versa put an old iphones sim card in your current and see if it detects or has the same issue and you can rule out if its the sim card or the phone.

@@deobimoomoo if it’s the sim card, just buy a new blank sim card call your phone provider and have them switch your cell to the new sim, if it’s the iPhone, do a factory/hard reset and see if it will read sim cards after complete, if still wont read any sim cards it’s most likely defective and will have to take it to a tech.

For those of you who might be struggling with removing the SIM tray, place your paperclip (I used a sewing needle) on a surface facing up and angle your phone to land on the paperclip, pushing downwards. You get a lot more force that way. I was finally able to open up the tray after 30 minutes of trying. Thanks a bunch!

When I bought my phone and the new cover for it I taped my SIM card tool to the back of my phone and put the cover on in an effort not to lose it. I find it's getting harder and harder to find a paperclip. Thanks guys

Thanks for the video, I had no clue on how to pull the SIM card. I cleaned it off with an alcohol wipe, popped in back in, and presto! Works again!

I always check for updates, that’s the annoying thing about IPhones. If your phone isn’t up to date it will start having issues like this and they will persist until you update. The No sim message, charging issues, service/signal issues are some of the things if you haven’t updated your IOS.

I have been though 2 different new SIM cards from my carrier seen post summer fix’s my iPhone temporarily but my phone continues to go into sos mode after a while it depends on the timing sometimes it back-back sometimes takes weeks my OS. My iPhone 13 pro has started with this issue, but it only happens when its charging. I charge wirelessly at home over night and I'd wake up to having this issue, I'd flick it onto airplane mode and follow these steps and sure enough it would come back on. It's really frustrating. I've followed all steps on these video's apart from getting a new sim so I'm assuming this is now the issue. Replacing today and hopefully it fixes.

iPhone 14pro have SIM card problem. He knows how to accept two cards. You just need to change it and add new generation names. Apart from that, you are using 2.sim, you can use one of them as an electronic sim and the other one as my lesson. This is how I did it on my phone

My daughter has an iphone 11. I used a paperclip and it does have to be done on top of a hard surface (like a table), push it in hard enough it will pop open. take out the case but leave the sim card on the case. Blow inside the phone a few times where the sim card goes into (like we used to do with SNES cartridges, then push the sim card and tray back inside your phone. Problem fixed.

@@ArunKumar-eb2fj had to call at&t for them to unlock it because apparently it locks when u try to switch sims to another device which is fkn stupid so only solution is calling them nd if they tell u u cant unlock and need a new number its bs cuz they told me the same thing and later i called again this time it was a different associate nd they unlocked my orginal number
