I paid for it once so, obviously, I see nothing wrong with it. In my case it was after my long-time partner had died and I was in Chicago for a consumer trade show, a trip we had always made together. I wasn't just looking for sex, though, and had arranged for an escort largely to avoid being alone on this trip. I would add that I specifically was looking for someone closer to my own age (older). There are websites you can go to where you can "rent" "men." You're paying them for their time--what you do during that time is by mutual consent. They have to pay to put a profile up. You should still take precautions and be smart, but anyone's who's had an active profile for months or years and has reviews is probably legit. Fees vary depending on the model and what you're looking to do, but it's usually a few hundred dollars an hour.

Being the "Old Guy", the only way I can have sex is to pay someone for it, which I did once. When you get older (and throw on some extra pounds), you absolutely become invisible to other gay men. I go out to the local bear club, I talk to others, I am not shy, and I am an all around friendly down to earth person. No matter how kind, loyal, trustworthy, or stable I am, it makes no difference. Depends on where you live. I'm in a largely middle class to upper bedroom community of mostly families. The handful of men in the immediate area are mostly older and have no interest in locals and definitely are after young guys. Pay for play is unfortunately often only option.

I also know of parents of a disabled or injured guy who have paid for a sex worker. Mostly I guess it would be women, but maybe that would extend to a gay guy as well. I guess it could be said I was selling sex back in college. I met this guy in a bar ( he was a very good looking I think 35 at the time). He took me out a lot and paid for everything. There is one thing that I do have to say about those who provide this service. I know it isn't all of them, but many could learn from the thought that they need to try to control their body language and facial expressions when a paying client meets them. I say this because I've always been one of the ones that in clubs/bars I get the "yuck look" from most everyone there. My point about body language and facial expressions is that I get it at the clubs but when I'm paying for it, I'd rather not have to be looked at with the same look I get at the clubs. Many times I just don't look them in the face after I see their expressions and so it kind of ruins the experience for me. Plus in these situations I don't tip very well. Haven't really done this yet but am seriously considering it. On A4A some members do the gas money scam. They will come over to my house if I send them gas money online. Of course, their pics and posts are fake and they will never show. I did give a guy some gas money a few times, but it was somebody I had know and was seeing for awhile. And I new he didn't have much cash. Interesting video. Not sure which one I am, but worth exploring.

My friend is a rich guy who wants guys he can't otherwise get who are younger and smooth, so he pays for it on his out of town trips. I think its about power too, the way he talks about them, he gets off "owning" them. Hes also very materialistic about designer labels and brags about his purchases when he comes back from trips, including the guy(s).

I have never paid for sex, but I also don't judge anyone who does. For me however, I'm older, my longtime partner is no longer (I have never ever been promiscuous, let me be honest here - so some of it - like "picking someone up" I don't even understand)... there... and after a few years where I just stayed alone - I met someone online, a young Filipino, and now, five years later, I wintered in the Philippines last year after retiring, and my love is coming here, we are at the last stage, the embassy interview, and after he gets his visa, he will come here and we will marry. He's from a good family, he's clean, in fact he was a virgin until we were together, he doesn't use drugs or drinks, and he is handsome, sweet, absolutely wonderful and I love him with all my heart. So, the alternative, at least for older guys, is to become passport bros. Sometimes you might get scammed, but you will find someone who loves you, if that is what you are after. I find that the answer to the question of why is: who wants to. There's really no need for people to go intro the ramifications, because it's a private matter. And also it's a service like any other. What really sucks I think is the stigma. And the fact that people are so interested about others' sex lives. I couldn't care less about some other person's nocturnal habits. And I doN't think anyone should, it's an invasion of privacy.
