Paynes Find is located 430km NE of Perth in Western Australia's outback.
It's hot, dry and bloody wonderful. The area is renowned for its wildflowers during the Spring time. Jump onboard and join me camping as we explore what most would consider to be 'no where'.

Playing with our big WA eagles is a dangerous game... They are the great whites of the sky! I’ve lost a few drones to them as I’m lucky enough to survey and map a lot of areas across the state. The trick is to always stay above them, as they use thermals and hot winds to climb. If the eagles manage to get above your drone your chances of surviving are slim, as they will dive bomb you from above and guaranteed there’s always more than one!! Magical animals, awesome to watch. Love your vids man, amazing content, keep it up brother 🤙🏻

Thanks for the interesting video and info on the area, plus we haven't seen rained on outback yet so that was a new look for us. Love the dogs antics and the isolation sites. We try and camp the same way up here but it is much harder to do. Cheers and be safe.

I used to do this. Go bush somewhere in WA or NT. Often alone....the best time...or the wife and kids. Then the kids got grown and the wife left. I bought a truck with a box on the back which I converted to a one man home. That was the best time of all. I wanted for nothing and travelled slowly stopping anywhere at all when that interested me, or just for a feed and a nap. Paynes Find was a place to buy my needs quite often. I got interested in overseas travel later and still do when possible. Life is good when you live it in your own way.

Paynes Find, Cue, Yalgoo, they are all within a days drive of Perth, and provide a real outback & historical experience. Tip for those who are hesitant: stay at the Station Stays in the region, Mellenbye Station in the Yalgoo, Nallan Station near Cue. The Wool Wagon Pathway, the historical mining sites, lots to see. And the serenity, stop your car and be part of the scenery. Enjoy. Oh, and great video. cheers..

...At the breakaways ...15:50...those are swallow's mud nests, ...not wasps! And as I commented in your Pt 1 video, always be aware that there is extensive baiting and trapping of wild dogs throughout that area. If you love your pet, leave them at home, strychnine poisoning is the most hideously painful way in which an animal can die...!
@SaltyDavenport

Thanks Cobba. If you watch the rest of my videos you will find I discuss this topic thoroughly. As with most of my viewers, we are very aware with the risk of travelling with a dogs, the choice to bring him with me everywhere is one I take responsibility for. Thanks for your concern.

Do you need a 4x4 to go out this way? I have a 2wd Hilux ute, be okay or a risk of getting bogged and stranded?
@person.X.
@person.X. 3 жыл бұрын
I have been out there and all over the Murchison and Goldfields for years prospecting in my battered old Falcon ute :) Also driven the Great Central Road from Laverton to Alice Springs and then on to Boulia and beyond - thousands of kms of unsealed roads. I cannot drive to the top of hills as easily and have to be careful with sandy and wet areas but other than that no worries. I have proper A/T tires on it and it takes a bit of a hammering from stone chips. The roads in most of these areas are in good condition and generally well maintained by the shires. A 4x4 is better but the obsession with tricked out 4x4s costing tens of thousands of $$$ has more to do with consumerism than actual necessity.
@theozBandit
@theozBandit 3 жыл бұрын
2wd Toyota Hilux is fine... just buy a decent air compressor from one of 4wd shops and a gauge and when gets boggy let all tyres down to the 16-12 psi...if gets real boggy, let them all down more to 8psi or lower and drive slow...when gets harder, pump tyres up more...
