Would you close your account?; sharing your data? Thats wrong they got no right

Just read for myself the changes coming now and 2025. Selling my personal information to be weaponized against me is BS. I'm going to check to see if I have any outstanding invoices, then I'm done with paypal.

Checked and data in the process of being deleted while they close my account. Hands are washed.

@@Unmutual-23 I might do the same. Only problem is I don't know how I can do online purchases without PayPal

@@melmen2379 There are several paypal like companies I believe. I just used them because one click payment was nice, until it wasn't. It was also a huge pain to cancel the account. I had to, line by line, cancel each recurring payment(one for me) and also each autopay(I had 4 autopays for the same company...). They don't make it easy, but you get to change your answer as to why you're cancelling and deleting, and each time mine got a little more angrier.

It depends on how much you "need" PayPal. You do have the option of turning the data sharing off. Here’s how: 1) Open PayPal: Log in through either the app or website. 2) Go to Settings: If you’re using the app, tap on your profile icon at the top right. On the website, you’ll find the gear icon in the upper-right corner. 3) Find Data & Privacy: Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section. 4) Manage Shared Info: Look for the Personalized Shopping option under Manage Shared Info. 5) Toggle It Off: Once you find the toggle switch, turn it off to stop PayPal from sharing your data.
