I got this very same scam this week. I reported it to the fraud department at my bank. Gave them all the information including the id and name of person on the invoice. My bank person said this particular scam is so rampant.

Still, it's crazy that many scammers are delusional about their grasp of English. They actually think that they've mastered American English, and have NO accent. Even Indians who speak a little or a lot better... still aren't speaking English flawlessly. Again, they're so delusional. What a joke. I was born in California. I'm from Calfornia.
