Hey Payton! I’m glad you are feeling so much better! ❤I also got my tonsils and adenoids removed when I was 6 because I was sick all the time and they would swell up really bad. When I had to have surgery, I cried a lot until the doctor put me to sleep and I remember when I woke up I could barely walk! I couldn’t do anything for almost 3 weeks and I hate it when I’m bored but I pushed through it and you did to! ❤

My doctor before i got them removed said it feels like you are swallowing broken glass pieces for a whole 2 weeks, and me being stubborn i didn’t believe her. about 4 hours after the surgery i was in so much pain and realized she was right. I was told i could eat as much ice cream as i wanted and i didnt even want a bite of ice cream. i also had to wake up every 3 hours in the middle of the night to take medicine and i could bearly swallow a pill. I got through it, and so will you. and everyone is different it might not hurt for you. just remember god is with you and you will get through it ❤

I got my tonsils out when I was 4 and before I weighed at 50 pounds. After I got my tonsils out I didn’t want to drink,eat or even sleep. I couldn’t go back to school until I actually ate food. I didn’t go back to school for 3 months. I went down to 20 pounds and at that point I was rushed to the ER cause of how unhealthy I was. Great job for eating and drinking!

I got my tonsils out at 6 years old. And now I’m 14. Ive changed a lot since then. The thing that will definitely change is your voice. It will be much deeper and more kinda like mature. My voice got really deep. I hope you will get better. Always remember to eat the soft foods and always drink a type of liquid that won’t hurt you. I know what’s it’s like, and it definitely does hurt at the beginning. Just remember to always do what is best for you. We all love you and are so glad that you are better! I had my tonsils out when I was 5, and I was back in the hospital the day after my surgery because they reopened and I needed emergency surgery. Payton I had this surgery yesterday! And you we're right! There were many doctors in the operating room which was labeled as the x-ray room and they put me on a really small bed and they gave me gas to go to sleep and I couldn't remember anything when I woke up and I was dizzy and in pain but they gave me 2 popsicles! I am in recovery😊 It is quite hard to breath through my nose just like you! My hearing is apparently very low pitched and I was crying about it earlier. I hope you are recovered now!

Wishing you a safe recovery, I know how it feels to have surgery, first time I was a little nervous, but I have had 5 now and I honestly don't care. A tip I do is while they are preparing you for surgery, you just have something to keep you occupied. Its a tough process afterwards, but its good for you. I had hip replacement surgery last month of december and even though it was painful, I now feel so much better and I hope you feel the same.

when i had my tonsils out i didn't eat the whole two weeks. The worst part is that it was Christmas,and i couldn't talk so i couldn't say thank you to anyone. It was the worst two weeks of my life but it's cool to see that i wasn't only that couldn't do anything the whole two weeks. But at least i got to boss everyone around but I like to do things by myself. Payton if you read this just know that if you ever have another surgery just know to always be positive that after the surgery your going to be okay. :)

I got mine taken out the first week of may and I couldn’t talk for like 1 week I had to learn and do sign language😂

I’m 13 years old.. I used to get strep throat super often so I was told about 2 years ago to take my tonsils out. I could only eat soft foods (obviously) but it was a fairly hard recovery.. I’ll be praying for you! ❤

Peyton, ur so brave and im completely with u, I had mine out when I was 5, so just know, ur not alone and ur voice does sound a bit weird but don't worry, it'll be over soon, U have inspired me so much and I cannot thank u enough, ur the reason im not depressed or I don't deal with anxiety any more, as an 11 year old kid, it honestly sucks when u can't do anything for 2 weeks but keep fighting and think of it as when u got ur wisdom teeth removed

Don’t worry Peyton once you get through it, it’s not that bad with the healing process because trust me, I’ve had my tonsils removed as well and it may be scary at first but trust me it’ll be a breeze you did such a great job by being so brave
