For all the criticism that has been unfairly heaped on Franco Bonisolli here is yet another example of his ability to deliver a moment of incredible technical demand in a manner which other tenors could only dream of doing. This difficult aria is usually rushed through with a perfunctory high B natural and yet here is Bonisolli giving a slow expressive tempo capped with a fabulous high note

The only singer whose voice was not destroyed despite the chest resonance technique, Corellis, di stefanos etc never could compare to this amazing tenor whose voice was a miracle, his high notes where always on point, never lowered down an aria, like corelli, di stefano pavarotti, etc did!

Tempo lentissimo. Mai sentito così lento. Ma appartenendo Franco alla fenomenologia delle voci del 900 poteva tutto. Del resto continuo a sottolineare che sia stato con Lauri Volpi e pochissimi altri a poter cantare dal Barbiere di Siviglia all' Otello di Verdi. Addirittura il barocco del 700 napoletano ( vedi Teatrino di Corte ) e non solo.

Bonisolli war sicher extrovertiert bis exaltiert. Aber sein Timbre, seine Ausstrahlung, seine Spitzentöne waren unübertroffen. Seinen "Chenier" in Wien werde ich nie vergessen.

Il brano ha tempi più veloci, qui bonisolli rallenta un po', interpretazione direi più da concerto che da rappresentazione live....comunque la voce non si discute....come la.sua carriera....avercene oggi tenori di questo spessore....

Concordo sig. Franco qui i temppi sono allargati e danno al brano meno intensità interpretativa!!!!!!! Ma le qualità vocali e artisiche di BONISOLLI non si discutono. Sommo artista nel novero dei più grandi di sempre.
