Join me as I tackle the Sydney Half Marathon, achieving a personal best time of 1 hour, 21 minutes, and 28 seconds! In what was a brilliant race, I ran alongside my friend Nick who set a pace of 3.42 minutes per kilometer, placing us not far behind the 1-hour 20-minute pacer. During the run, we passed iconic landmarks like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and it was really interesting to see Sydney from a different perspective, running down 4 lane motorways!
The event, sponsored by Hoka Running, Pure Nutrition, and many more, was an awesome opportunity to see both elite runners and those hitting their first 10km on the same course. Long-distance running has now become a primary focus of mine in the lead-up to the Gold Coast Marathon, and with a solid result at this race, I'm really excited to see what I'm capable of at the marathon distance.
