But California voters keep voting for terrible propositions that directly cause these issues with crime (like voting for Prop 47 that made thefts hard to prosecute) and then when the shitty results happen, they blame judges and prosecutors. I knew a guy in high school in the 1970's that committed a series of rapes in Austin Texas and was known as the "Choker Rapist" and was eventually caught. They hammered him with a hefty sentence, but a Federal Judge told Texas they had to release him and many others due to overcrowding. So, he only served a handful of years and predictably started re-offending months later until he was caught again.' He died in the 1990's in prison from cancer, so his days of terrorizing are over. This guy featured is going to re-offend so hopefully they will not release him. It's a shame we have to live on the same planet with creatures like this.
