Wes Malott, my favorite bowler when I was in my teens and during all my high school years. Never been more devastated than being my home center when the PBA came. And watched Wes Malott flat 10 to loose to Michael Haugen in the 10th. However I asled for an autograph 5 minutes after and he was so nice.

Always wonder what do you do with all your bowling balls? For example like when you try a layout, but then turns out it is not a good fit for your game, do those balls just sit in storage? or do they get returned back to Storm?

Looks like those 10 pins are nailed down!! Awesome vid guys. Good idea on the sponsorships!! I found out the other day that my home center is shutting down in May to be remodeled into one of those D&B style places... In other words...they are getting rid of half the lanes (had 40) and replacing them with a bar.... this means my center will no longer host leagues (sanctioned anyway). It is sad to see and kind of scary as the current leagues will now have to find a new center to finish out their terms. I hate seeing a bowling center kick out their bowlers and replace them with birthday parties and drinkers. Sucks for the tenant pro shop as well because they will have to leave and also lose all that league business.

Question for you guys, how did you guys breakthrough and get sponsorships? I just got my tour card this year and I’d love to be able to bowl as many tournaments as possible but I just can’t seem to breakthrough with any sponsors despite having multiple honor scores and carrying at least a 230 (+/- a pin or two) for about the last 4/5 years. Any ideas?

You should geek out with people. You have to explain to people that while strong balls have their place, if the fronts aren't heavy oil those balls tend to use up all their energy early on in the lane and then have nothing left for the back end of the land. Which will also make weaker bowling balls look like they are stronger because they save up more energy for the back part of the lane.

When the lanes are hooking as much as they appear to be; why dont you guys drill balls like a Hustle Wine, Burner Pearl, or Hyped's? Based on the early parts of this vlog; it appears carry is a premium as light hits dont carry well.

I would guess 90-95 percent of guys on the national tour throw 15. There are still a select few I think that throw 16. Norm comes to mind
