Canelo was the next star after De La Hoya/Mayweather/Pacquiao. Yes, I know Pacquiao is still fighting, but Canelo is the biggest star in boxing and at age 28 he still has at least 5 to 10 more years of being a PPV star (or DAZN star I guess now). If we're not counting Canelo, than we have Errol Spence, Terence Crawford, and Deontay Wilder. Only Mexican or American fighters can become huge names in the USA. There are a few exceptions (with Pacquiao being the main one), but overall you have to be from the USA/Mexico. Even GGG needed Canelo to sell PPVs. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have a chance if they can beat Wilder in the USA.
