As soon as my truck hit 100,000 km I did the transmission fluid exchange , don't want any issues with the transmission . I have enough possible issues already showing up with my 2018 Dually, CCV,DPF,EGR... All issues that need to be addressed soon.

A small kiddie pool will catch all your fluid...works like a charm...my 9 yr old daughter suggested about 7 yrs ago...works like a champ...also. take some sprayable brake cleaner and clean the pan and the gasket before you put it back on...just my opinion...takes another 5 min...oh Ford dealership wants to charge 750 dollars to do this!!!!!

Soon to be 63 years old and started using gloves about 5 years ago. Takes some getting used to but much better on the hands not having the chemicals absorbed into your skin. Plus if you need to get into the vehicle, take the gloves off and a quick wipe to get rid of the sweat soaked hands and good to go.

Another great vid ARod. Nothing like learning from someone who’s done the job 100s of times. My “supervisor” insists that I wear gloves (prefer the thick black disposable ones so they don’t break). I (mostly) comply in exchange for dinners I don’t have to make. Plus it lets me show up at the table w/ hands that didn’t take 10 mins. to clean. This arrangement works for me. New funnel? Nah, just duct tape the slit. Dude, ever since airbags, I drive @ 4 & 8 since I like the skin on my forearms (shud the bag ever go off).

had one of our 2016 f-550's 65K miles intermittently doing a very rough 5-6 upshift almost like both gears were engaged for a second, did an adaptive table reset and the KAM so far so good. I have ran into delayed or too fast shifting on several 2015-2017 models with 50-80K miles and doing the adaptive and KAM resets have made the difference. thanks for all the stuff you cover on these trucks.

Thx for showing us how it’s done. If I’m taking my truck to a mechanic, & mechanic test driveI want them to be comfortable & safe. Move the seat, mirrors, pedals, steering wheel, whatever. Only thing I ask is to not leave a mess, especially seats & steering wheel. Find these messes & I’ll need a thermostat replacement…. BTW, drive w/ hands @ 8 & 4 if you value your forearms in the event that the airbag ever goes off. Trust a dealership w/ my truck? Only if / once I’ve exhausted all other options.

I figure if a tech needs to drive my vehicle to diagnose a problem or verify it's fixed, I want them to be able to see and reach the pedals and steering wheel comfortably. I don't want to make a tall person fold themselves in half to fix my car just because I happen to be shorter than them. I usually move the seat around a bit anyway, taking naps on my lunch break or whatever.

Heard that. Went with the ATS deeper pan. Has baffles in the bottom (verses a flat bottom) to avoid scavenging issues. Now trans takes 20 quarts. 2 cases (12ea) on Amazon (cheaper than the gallons jugs) takes care of trans and transfer case. With a couple of spare qts.

Check out that brand new 14.4v 1/4” cordless long boy…that’s probably my favorite ratchet I own. I usually grab 18-20 qts of LV, disconnect the trans cooler return line, and shove a piece of clear 1/2” tubing into the trans cooler return fitting. Starting off with 9 qts, use an empty oil jug and place the other end of the 1/2” tubing inside. Fire the truck up and then shut it off after 2 qts has been collected, add 2 qts and repeat process until you get a noticeable fluid color change. Those torque converters hold about half of the system’s capacity. This method insures that you replenish all of the old fluid in the T/C with the new fluid from the pan. Only downside is you spend twice as much on fluid🤌🏻💸 Thanks for posting pimpin, always a pleasure to watch a master at his craft👌🏼

I recently bought a F250 crew cab, long bed, lifted 4x4 on fox suspension and 37s, intake, cooler pipe, ect. Deleated straight pipe and unknown tune. 48k miles and paid $35k. Service record is awesome, fuel filters done at 31k miles, fuel out of separator was clean, changing them again when they come in. Use Top shot on every fill up, added friction reducer to oil that was just changed, and the other stuff for the trans. There's no record of trans/diff fluids changed, not sure what towing was done previously. I tow quads or AC equipment a few times a week. Shoud I do those fluids yet or wait? Also, I'd like to get tuner, can I flash over if I don't know the previous tune? I keep reading different stuff on google and not sure what to do. Looking at EzLynks or SCT. Do you have a recommendation or different brand? Spicy Street tune, tow, offroad(not crazy, just to get thru some mud pits) Economy for road trips, so SOTF. Located in FL Been learning a lot from your vids, first diesel, but grew up working on gas cars/trucks/quads.

The manual for my 2019 diesel says to change trans fluid and filter every 150K miles. Are you saying to do it every 25K?

The book is to NOT be followed. Yes every 30k is my recommendation

2016 F350 book says the the same thing. At 89k the fluid is a dark red. It has been pulling most of it's life but is no longer pulling. I will do a full fluid change using Amsoil at 100k. The only issue is the windshield wiper will turn itself on slow intermittent after the clockspring recall update and it is intermittent. The dealer wants $120 an hour to troubleshoot this. The blinker assembly plugs into the clockspring. F the dealership, I am paying an aftermarket shop to fix this.

@tonytsquared5576 I'd prolly throw a multi function switch at it. Had done a few for that.

Why is my new 2024 f250 6.7 powerstroke having a delayed take-off when loaded. It's almost like driveshaft has play in it? This happened on my 2022 as well. Please, anyone, point me in the correct direction to get this resolved.

@JordanByrne-xj5op If I'm thinking correctly. I believe they have a feature that holds the truck like using the break. Or internal transmission stuff. I can't remember what they call it
