That was a great 1986-1987 GMC RTS Bus of the private Bus line Green line Bus Jamaica Triobo Coach Queens Transit Stineway Transit /Queens Surface. And Command Bus review. Sir. Wow I don't where to start . I have a whole lot memories of fromb my Childhood all the way to my Adult life. On myself and some of family members riding on them as well . Because. I had grow up in Jamaica Queens. We had Buese with different colors the MTA. Back then . Even my daughter remembers them too. And now she grown. I miss riding and seeing in Brooklyn and Queens sir. Thank-you for the flash back sir.

I just love how modern these were for their time. I remember growing up in San Francisco in the early 90s and these things driving by. And living in the NYC area since the 00s. these things are everywhere and great!

Beautiful. Living in both Brooklyn and Queens, I've grew up experiencing the Command, Green Lines, and Jamaica Buses Incorporated. From the GMC RTSs to Orion V/VIIs, they all grew on me. Thank you for sharing these memories with us.

Nice retrospective as usual. I always remembered the Green Lines and Jamaica Bus ones the most. I seen a few of the Triboro and Command Bus ones every now and then as well when I was a kid, never the Queens Surface ones as they were all pretty much gone by 2001 or so in which I would have been too young to notice. I love the MTA Bus 1162 blue paint scheme and it always made me womder what things would be like if more were painted blue and reworked instead of scrapped early on in the Takeover days. But they were roughly 21 years old by that point so it made little sense to keep them around due to MTA getting the new hybrid Orions, as well as getting the far better condition 1990 TMC RTS's from the NYCT. I also wished 3701 was kept somehow. I felt like that bus was Jamaica Bus's "Centerpiece" in a way. It stood out due to being the lone bus in the 3700 series and it was also featured on the cover to the Jamica Buses Maps, as well as the old Jamaica Buses website.

I wonder how it felt to take a RTS on the express bus routes. Since I take the MCI D4500 everyday on the Qm17 I can’t even begin to understand how a rts would work on a express bus route
