IFC model when imported into 3DR doensnt seem to align with point cloud. Checked the IFC model and the associated point cloud in navisworks, perfectly aligned. What could have gone wrong?

Magnus could it be that you had an UCS active? That could easily cause it. Otherwise there shouldn't be an issue 😉

can you use other point cloud formats instead of lgs such as PTS, LAS, E57 to overlay the two models ?

Yes, Cyclone 3DR is very open in that regard... we have a HUGE list if import types you can import and then run analysis upon.

Can you advise the accuracy of the deviation between pointcloud and Mesh model from this workflow?
@RealityCaptureGuy3 жыл бұрын
It's a BIM model (IFC for example), not a mesh in this instance - the accuracy depends on the sensor used and how well you have aligned the model and the point-cloud (but mostly in these workflows, the model and the data are aligned prior to the point of import due to shared coordinate systems).
