To thin tahini add mustard powder - a natural emulsifer- and water and mix.; i use a whisk to 'stab' the hard tahini in the jar, if not twist. Adding lemon juice emulsifies even better but then doesnt keep as long.

I love how you include your children in your cooking, Jeremy, it’s wonderful. Also, it’s really nice of you to respect your children’s choices, I applaud you for that. I no longer have teenagers, my three children are all adults, but I still love to watch your videos about your beautiful family. Greetings from lovely Connecticut 🧡

Thanks Rosie. We lead a good example, but they'll only truly follow it if it's their choice.

Thanks for the tip to let lemon juice & garlic sit for awhile to mellow the garlic. I'll start adding that to my routine. In addition to the tahini and lemon juice, I add 1/2 to 3/4 cup aquafaba to 2 cups of chickpeas. It makes a really creamy hummus.

I made the granola bars but instead of baking them in the oven I did cookie shapes, some round, some square in my dehydrator and it worked beautifully and nothing burns. I did them for one hour at 194 F plus I put choc chips in as well. We love them ! Thank-you!

If you sprinkle the chocolate chips on the granola right when they come out of the oven they melt and spread easily. I do that and it saves time and one less dish to wash. 💚

This has to be one of my favourite videos you have done. It’s nice that all your family were included. All these recipes will be printed out and included in my favourites. Any chance of you doing a cookbook? Have a great long weekend before it’s back to school for the kids. Sudbury, Ontario. 😄

I have a 8x8 corningware ceramic dish with a glass lid that was my grandmother's so easily over 50 years old. I remember my parents using it all throughout my childhood. I feel like not many things are made to last like this thing was.

So much to like about this video and this channel! Ephraim is to be congratulated- knowledgeable and likable. This is the only cooking channel that I know of that features the entire family. (The kids add, but at the same time there is no sense that you are taking advantage of them.) I also add about half a cup of mini, Plantbased chocolate chips to several of the deserts that I make, that are otherwise WFPB. I also add 1/2 sesame oil to some Asian dishes. The amount of flavor that it adds makes it worth the tiny amount of extra calories and fat per serving. And finally, the editing was great. I feel this video was a great use of my time because it featured so many recipes. I only started following your channel about a year ago so many of the recipes in this video were new to me.

My Chinese grandma had a tortilla press for making dumpling wrappers. I have no idea where she got that in the ‘60s or ‘70s .. maybe Honest Ed’s? Kensington market was still predominantly east European back then.

Just made the deli meat! Ha! Saw it earlier and have the stuff, so why not? I used previously frozen tofu. So texture may be a little different. Flavor is good, may add a little more ACV, smoked paprika, and pepper next time! Thanks for the recipe! Possibilities are endless with spice combos… Great vid! 🙌. ✌️❤️🌱

I love your videos, and it's awesome that Ephraim is following in your footsteps! Question -the recipe in the video states "oil free hummus", but does tahini have oil in it?
@pbwithjeremy3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Depends on the brand - sesame seeds will release an oil - just like any other nut or seed - but because it's intact with the rest of the fibre it's better for you. Look at the label and if it looks like they added additional oil try and get a different brand.

Dictionary: the original chickpea dip in the Middle East is called HOO-mus. But I guess when you add other ingredients, like red pepper, which will make it look bloody, then you can call it HAMMAS. 😃😃😃
