Rival Boss to be honest I have not played it much. Most likely we will have to wait for somebody to jail break it and add the translation patches.

I'm so stoked...I just bought mine yesterday! I had to make a Japanese Amazon account and it will be here soon! At first I tried like Hell to get an American Turbografx 16 Mini but they were all sold out. I was about to buy a PC Engine Mini (last resort, no turbo on the controller) but that's when I saw my Core Grafx. I immediately paid for it and now I play the waiting game. Thankfully, I have so many games to play it's ridiculous. I got Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and I just snagged Streets of Rage 4! That last one...has matched the hype, oh yes it has! All the games are the same my friend. There should be 55 to 57 games included. There are some secret games included. I hope I don't lose the damn backplate...I will put it into the box. I do wish they would have skipped the HDMI cord for a plug. Oh and what do you mean you don't own Lord's of Thunder?! You do own it now my friend. Excellent, excellent video! Turbo graphics is $100 but core graphics from amazon uk is $120. Price was already steep imo for turbo so core, I prefer it because it’s smaller but frick, crossing fingers for a sale or maybe I’ll just be that tempted one day. Either way I’m waiting

You can play ninja gaiden in English at the title screen by holding 1 and 2 then pressing select till you select English. However the next screen shows the logo etc on Japanese but it's in English at cut scenes.

Unfortunately, from what I've seen online it's the censored, American version with the red mask. I was hoping for the Japanese version too but all of the companies making mini consoles seem to get very lazy when it comes to the European releases and just give us the same games as the American versions. The most egregious was the European NES Classic which included Tecmo Bowl (an American "football" game) for some unknown reason. Still, the Core Grafx Mini looks pretty good. Mine should be arriving tomorrow.

Yes every console has the same games and you can switch between them. Its more of a pick your case and controller

There is almost no information anywhere online about whether we can avoid buying the expansive extra controllers (update: 1 video) and the multitap sold by konami on amazon japan. In other words, will generic usb hub and or 3rd party wired usb controllers work with these 3 minis (PCE or TG16 or CG)? On my TG16 mini, I tried 3 different wired USB controllers (sega genesis mini 6 button and 3 button controllers and playstation classic controller) and they did NOT work. I also tried a targus 4 port usb 2.0 hub with the TG16 mini controller and it also didn't work. It seems konami/hori has done this to force purchase of their expensive peripherals, but it would be helpful to know if some other 3rd party personals (wired, not wireless) would work before ordering expensive peripherals from Konami on amazon Japan. Please try out any peripherals you have and post here or anywhere online and or provide links here to any information on this. I can't believe the units have been reviewed by many and yet nobody has mentioned anything about this. It would be a video that would get lots of views ;) The one video (3 days ago) which tests 4 other controllers is helpful but the hori controller that does work is actually more expensive than buying the Konami pc engine mini controller from amazon Japan, after duty/shipping costs, the difference in price is very little so would prefer to get the pc engine controller. Would be helpful if more other usb controllers were tested. And, we need people testing usb hubs and sharing results please.

@@ValkyrieVewas Hey I am very curious, I have never owned a mini system but I have wanted to explore TurboGrafx/pc engine shooters for a while now and this is the only affordable way to do so. I hear these mini systems suffer from input lag, with shmups being my attraction to this mini console, does it ruin the gameplay? I cannot imagine enjoying Blazing Lazers, Star Soldier or Lord's of Thunder if it has latency issues.

Delayed in the US, but not in Japan. Order yours from Amazon Japan and select global shipping. You can also get the PC Engine, but the Core Graphx has the turbo controller.... and there are some subtle differences in the games.

The TG16 is available from az.jp as well. I ordered mine like 4 days ago and got it in 3 days in Ohio. One nice feature about the controller is the cord is very long. Its was only like 2.5 feet on the original system. And I like the fact that it's a USB. It means you can plug in other controllers. I can use my 8bitdo genesis 6-button controller for 2 player games!

@@ValkyrieVewas yes it was very fast. I would recommend doing that. One thing I liked about the genesis mini and the neogeo arcade mini is that they both came with branded power cords. The genesis says "sega: and the neogeo has the neogeo logo on it, it's a nice little detail. I was hoping the same for this system but unfortunately it's just a normal usb.

I would delete the contoller config file by connecting it to a wifi network. Then use a computer to find it and delete it i can lool up what its called later if you cant find it. That way it will make a new one when you boot up the system next time.

Rival Boss emulation station wont detect my retro pad but i hook up ps4 contrller and i was able to set up the controls thanks

there is 25 Turbografx 16 games and the games' list is exactly the same on the Core Grax Mini and the Turbo grafx 16 mini. There is only 1 game different on the PC Engine mini (don't have Salamander but a japanese rpg instead)

Splatterhouse on PC Engine Mini is the uncensored version.

And japan gets two games in place of Salamander. Tengei Makio 2 and Tokimeki Memorial. Apologies if I spelled those wrong. Both are absolutely unplayable if you don't speak Japanese, so either english version makes more sense. You get all the hidden games of the PCE, plus Salamander arcade as an extra hidden game
