in my situation if i buy a console ill still need to spend more money to buy a pc to do other stuff like browsing the web etc.. so for me i prefer to add the console budget on the pc budget and get a very high spec pc with can do both gaming and pc stuff and will last as long as a console will insted of buying 2 seperate products

You make a number of good points here. Some other benefits to PC gaming are the fact that you can invest in good basic components and have the ability to add virtually unlimited amounts of storage, tons of memory, etc. And you can upgrade the major components like processors, boards, etc. easily if you build your own or buy from a company that uses industry standard components. Also, the game selection on PC is SOOOO much larger than the consoles it's not even the same ballpark.

NMunro4, I'd like to clarify what you mean with PCs having better graphics than consoles. With the Xbox 360, most games run at 480p or 720p, when on a PC, you can run 1080p, or even 1440p, or even higher. Plus, something you console defenders can't beat, is that you can even play on multiple monitors. Now that's not something you'll be able to do on a console any time soon. To add to that, PCs can do WAY more than just gaming on. You can browse the web, and do a lot of complex video editing.

If you already bought a gaming pc then you shouldn't be complaining about the cost since pc games are cheaper and PC's don't really have DRM *cough*xbox one*cough* For games its pretty much up to your choice of which exclusives you like the most, though personally if there is a game and its on console and PC I will always pick the PC version due to better graphics and I can pick the controller I want to use.

I'm kinda new to PC gaming, but so far I absolutely love everything about it. Not just because of the quality of the games, and stuff like that. It's the wider variety of games as well. There are way more games for PC not just standard usual games as in CALL OF DUTY, BATTLEFIELD, and so on. Other games that are specialty made for PC, and honestly the only thing you really need of the most important. Is a decent graphics card. If you intend to game heavily, use a laptop as a last resort. They are harder to fix, and they will cost much more than a desktop of the same speed. That said, sometimes there is no way to use a desktop computer, because of movement or space concerns. If you go with a laptop, assume you will have to plug it in when gaming. Most of them won't go more than an hour or two with games running. Gaming laptops also have the drawback of being much hotter and heavier than needed for non-gaming tasks.

Maybe the resolution is set lower than 1080p? Some people don't understand the differences between resolutions so I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe his currency is different? 500Euro equates to 700$AU. You can build some pretty good rigs for around 400$. I have done so myself. Of course I'm not including OS, monitor, keyboard and mouse but it's doable. My Work Pc (The 400$) Pc can max Metro 1080p however, I keep anti aliazing off or on minimum to increase performance.

Desktop computers take up space, some people can't easily fit two of them, and it is expensive to build two whole machines. You should have no issue using the same machine for both. If you want to separate activities, perhaps you should just make two user accounts, one for gaming, one for work. Also, make sure you get a 7200rpm HDD for the games, if you get the cheaper 5400 ones, the loading times might be painful. Also, don't use external HDD unless it's eSATA or USB3, for the same reason.

Do not ever play CoD on the PC. The community for CoD is already bad enough but on the PC it is FILLED with hackers. Maturity has almost nothing to do with what you know, but it is more akin to how you use what you know, and what you do when you have a problem. Calling someone 'not mature' just because you think you are more mature than them is almost proving that you are not mature.

Consoles do have the advantage that every game developer only has to target a single platform. I've recently got a GTX 650 Ti given to me for my computer. My computer has a dual core with 4 gigs of ram. Its custom built. I actually prefer playing on PC more than playing on a console. I owned a console because it was the cheapest because I could never afford to build a gaming PC. Something that is really going to show the true colors of PC gaming is SteamOS. Its pretty much gives you the power to build your own console, and it'll really show what Linux can do. Once gaming for Linux takes off I'm getting rid of Windows and migrating over. I got a little bit of a wait though. Overall PC gaming has more +1's than consoles in my opinion.

A PC is multiple consoles in one plus play current games. Backwards compatibility is no problem on PC cause you can play games as old as from 2000. If you build a PC now you wont have to upgrade for 10years if you buy descent hardware. You can always turn down the settings in a game to get better FPS. I have an old 2003 computer that uses AGP video cards that can play COD WAW at about 50FPS. Its single core with a amd hd3850. It can play most new games at 30FPS.

I imagine it would be hard to play at first if you are not used to it. Personally though, I have absolutely no idea how anyone can play FPS games with a console. With a bit of practice, you will wonder how you managed with console controls. If you want to see what it's like, grab a copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 for PC. It'll run on just about any machine made since 2003. It's very fast paced compared to other shooters, but it'll give you an idea of what keyboard and mouse controls can be like.

It's because different communities prefer different games. When PC gamers say they abhor COD, its true. Hardly anyone on PC plays it, if you look at the daily steam count. But it isn't due to lower sales regardless. It's because all PC games are basically digital now. They have less restrictions than physical copies and can be sold for less to still make profit.

You can use Controllers on PC. You are right consoles are less complicated so they are perfect for people that are too lazy to figure out the best system. I guess you don't like the freedom PC gives you? So many choices.. You can literally tweak everything on PC. Why would you consider that a bad thing? "Everyone plays consoles" see now you're just being a sheep, doing what others do without question. Please think for yourself bro, you won't regret it. Besides, you will find out how most people are complete idiots anyway. Take it easy.
@dontaskme21310 жыл бұрын
Green ∞ Optima ∞ What's wrong with being lazy? Why should playing a game have to be a goddamn nightmare? What if you don't care about "literally tweaking everything"? What freedom is on the PC? Nearly every game I want to play isn't released on the PC. PC gaming is a great way to not be able to play anything. Piracy fixes a good amount of that. I guess you'd consider piracy preferable to sticking the Ocarina of Time cartridge in the N64.

I think you can play the best on what youre used too, ive been a console player all my life and i recently made the change to PC and i just find it more easy to play with a controller so i dont think a keyboard and mouse is nore batural. You know you can do a lot more on a computer than a console, games are made on a computer. If your talking about a pre-made computer than that's probably not as fast as a console but doesn't mean the console is better. That's why you don't get a pre-made computer especially if your going to use it for gaming. Most companies will pre build a computer with not very good parts but sell it for a lot of money, that's how they make a profit.
