what do you consider the hardest part of the PCAT to be? I feel like it’s the Critical Reading and the CHEMISTRY. So many complex compounds

I just bought the Kaplan PCAT 2013-2014 book on amazon and am receiving it Friday, even though i am still in high school (senior) I really have a plan to become a Pharmacist. I've watched a few of your videos and it really tells me i need to start studying now. I am a very slow learner, and i cant control it, it really sucks. I can't wait to start studying. I am planning to be a pharmacy tech by the middle of 2014 because of my Technology Center i am attending has a pharmacy tech class.

PCAT is the entrance exam for pharmacy school, not to be a tech. You can walk in off the street and become a tech....those schools they offer are mainly a scam. I became a tech before going to pharmacy school by just applying to different pharmacies until someone said they would take me on and train me. Then, while working, I took the exam to become certified about 8 months into working.

It depends. Some schools will come right out and give you a minimum to aim for, others won't. Some will provide only the average score of the current or past classes. Most are in the 60-70 range with above 75 being "competitive" (ie, they don't toss your app as soon as they see your score). The average cumulative score for my class was 92. I can't comment much on the current test. I took mine several years ago (like the video's author).

Im taking the exam tomorrow but my issue is the QR section which is kind of bugging me...I just didnt find a good source for the QR and I found the kaplan QR section very easy and not useful at all. What sets of practice questions did you do that you think it was somewhat analogous to the actual exam? specially for the QR section. Thanks!

The PCAT is a pharmacy specific exam. I can't imagine it would help for a biology program unless they take random standardized exams as some sort of testament. I'd save the money on the PCAT and contact your school to see what they do look for.

I've registered for PCAT exam in this September, but I remember there was a section where I had to choose schools which transcript will be sent to. Would I only be able to apply to the schools I chose to send the transcript to?? I'm planning on applying to pharmacy school in canada, but UofT was the only school in the list so I only chose UofT...
