I had to build a foundation for a fireplace many years ago and the hole had water in it. I decided to put in all the materials minus the water, and the next day it was hard concrete. It worked, the fireplace is still there. It was built in 1976…….

Even the most compact mortar will wet the ground but that will certainly not be the gripping agent but the weight of the building. Они смачивают землю, и этого достаточно. In rural India nobody cares and as far as I’ve seen, people prefer cheap construction for affordability of course. Moreover there aren’t any earthquakes and the weather and soil is mostly dry so no fear of structural failure or moisture through capillary action. La estructura es para planta baja nada más con las columnas ya tiene soporte para la pared , tampoco es q quieren hacer un edificio , q acaso no viste las construcciones de antes q no tienen columnas y x último si le ponen un encadenado cada metro tiene aguante esa casa y si nonme crees mira las casas de alado y te das de cuenta lo q quieren hacer

I don't really understand why someone doesn't like this type of foundation? This is called the rubble trench foundation. This is an excellent and cheap construction technology that lasts for decades and is in no way inferior to a fully concrete foundation.
