One thing I wish many builders did was alert viewers about the QVL for memory and board compatibility. I know for some it’s not an issue, but for myself I had issues in stability that was linked to memory incompatibility. Sorry to nail you to the wall on this one, but I just never saw it and wish builders would

The reason it's rarely mentioned is because 99% of the time it's a non-issue. QVL just refers to memory that was specifically tested by the manufacturer; it doesn't mean non QVL memory won't work.

Ayo your CPU is running 92degrees thats gonna be a nice heating in winter Pog
@stevencash1609
@stevencash1609 19 күн бұрын
Technically, the transfer of heat is 100%. So whether the CPU runs at 92 degrees because of a bad cooler or at 70 with a great cooler, it will heat the room the same. It's just a matter of how fast the transference of heat occurs.

@@stevencash1609 While this is true, there is also a ton of reasons to prevent higher temps - this is exactly what you want: A fast energy transfer. Why anybody would use this cooler is beyond me - there 20-40$ coolers that do a much better job in all aspects...

A 65W CPU running at 90C or 70C transfers the same amount of heat btw
@MrLilredmachine
@MrLilredmachine 3 күн бұрын
This is a really good point, it also applies with graphics cards (physics innit) which tends to be a more common decision being made. A card with a 280 watt TDP and a crappy cooler that runs at 90 degrees is still putting out less heat than a card with a 350 watt TDP that has a great cooler and runs at 65 degrees. So if your case is overheating with a graphics card in it that runs 280 watts, fix that first. Swapping in another, more powerful card with a better cooler will not help, it will make it worse. 😂😂

This is one of the reasons that I recommend the R7-7700 when talking about an AM5 build. The Wraith Stealth is adequate because, as you said, you have the cooler set to quiet and the ambient room temp is pretty high but the R7-7700 comes with the Wraith Prism which is not only an amazing cooler, it's also beautiful to look at. I've been using a Wraith Prism on my R7-5800X3D for about two years now and it has been more than fine with my temps never going over 80°C. It was originally my stepfather's cooler but he's really old-school and hates RGB. So, I traded the Wraith Spire that came with my R5-3600X for it. There's nothing better than free! 😁

I built with a 65 watt Ryzen 9 7900 just over a year ago and I used the Stock cooler. When I built the PC it was completely fine but it's starting to get hotter and hotter now. I'm guessing the thermal paste is drying out. So that's the trade off. You can either buy an aftermarket cooler with more metal or repaste every year, every 6 months ideally. I ended up buying a Peerless Assassin that is still sitting on the floor in the box but the fire and forget solution would be to just put more cooler in it. Essentially parroting everything he said with a personal spin.

You should have included an exhaust fan in the build, or just taken one from the front. You can get an Arctic P12 for literally $7 (best value case fan by a mile right now), or a P14 for $12, and an exhaust fan will easily improve CPU temps by 5 degrees or more. Also, they come with fluid dynamic bearings now, for $7!

Hey Pc Centric! I’m sure probably about to ask a question you think may be dumb. When it comes to intake and exhaust fans is that just flipping the fan the opposite way so it blows in an opposite direction, or does it depend on software? Lastly, do you have a video on them?
@cannotkazi
@cannotkazi 20 күн бұрын
Not dependent on software bud. Just flip it and you're good to go. I think I understand where you're coming from and why you're presuming the involvement of some software. It's probably because you might be considering whether the fan's rotation, clockwise or anticlockwise is something to consider. Towards which I'd say don't concern yourself with that, And just know that the angle of the fan blades physically - Concaved inwards OR concaving outwards is what's enabling you to be able to swap their use case between intake and outtake respectively. Hope this helps!

I’m just a first time builder but that’s all it was for me. I’m using this case the three front fans pull air in and to a BQ pure rock cpu cooler. I used another 120mm fan at the rear to pull air out and a 140mm one above the cpu cooler to pull more air up and out. My temps seem really consistent and never high. Roughly 60*C during all uses.

Is this a good pc build? Intel i9 13900F processor 24 cores and 32 threads 32 GB memory DDR5 2 TB NVMe M.2 SSD hard disc Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB Z790 motherboard with Wi-Fi 6 en 2,5 Gigabit LAN poort 850 watt power supply 2x 12 cm RGB water cooling RGB game case Incl Windows 11 Pro What performance are possible with this? Could I game in 4K, 120 fps with ray tracing on or not? Is it also a good pc for streaming? Also is it possible to upgrade the graphics card to a RTX 4090 and in the future the 5090? I just want to be future proof too. But this gaming pc is a pre build one that I can buy somewhere. But I want to know if these are good specs for a gaming pc.

Hi mate, a question - you said not to put RAM sticks next to eachother or it'll halve speed. Does this mean the benefit of having 128gb RAM as 4x 32GB sticks isn't that good over just having 2 32GB for a total of 64gb? or does the extra RAM still add greater performance. thanks

If you want to go for pure gaming performance and quality of course you can do much better. For 1k you can easily get 7800xt (with 7600 CPU) or even 7900GRE if you go for AM4 with 5600X CPU. Just get cheaper Micro ATX Motherboard cheaper RAM and cheaper case. You can also get a better Gold Certified PSU and a decent CPU Cooler for that money.

i have the (amd 7500f) 7800xt and play most games with ultra or high settings if i see stutters @ 1440p with most frames over 140fps and have no issues whatsoever , i play on my hp omen 32c and hanyone that has that monitor looks a little washed out and i switch over to my samsung g6 and it looks more vivid but thats the monitors not the gpu. but i have had a great experience with the 7800xt and i play the games great and it hasn't made me think(man i need something better) i will think about it maybe next year or when better cards come out but i personally dont care about ray tracing . 😁

I have a Question: Are sure about the Wattage(650) of your PSU?? I'm certain I read somewhere that the Minimum Recommended Wattage for a 7000 Series(Excluding the Base 7600 Model) GPU is: 750 Watts?? Perhaps that Specification is Incorrect??
@PcCentric
@PcCentric 19 күн бұрын
The minimum is based on you having a higher TDP CPU, this ran fine in our tests, but if you upgraded to a beefier chip, and added lots of other fans ssds etc it might not be enough

Currently got a 2600x and a 1060, 32gb ram, what would be the better option. Upgrade to a 7800xt the now and upgrade to a 5600x I'm about 4/5 months or upgrade to a 7700xt right now and upgrade the 5600x in a month?
@MrAnimescrazy
@MrAnimescrazy 19 күн бұрын
I would get the 7800xt and upgrade the 5600x later to a 5700x3d or a 5800x3d.

@@MrAnimescrazy so keep it with the 2600x and save for extra time to get an x3d chip?
@MrAnimescrazy
@MrAnimescrazy 19 күн бұрын
@mcgamer4474 yes. The 5700x3d or the 5800x3d will be a huge jump in performance also maybe upgrade your motherboard to a higher end model

@MrAnimescrazy if I wait to do a cpu upgrade and have to get a new motherboard would I may aswell wait longer and go to am5? Stick with the 2600x until start of 2025
@MrAnimescrazy
@MrAnimescrazy 19 күн бұрын
@mcgamer4474 you don't have to get a new motherboard but if your motherboard is on the lower end you can upgrade to a mid tier or higher end board. Maybe also get faster latency ram like cl16 or cl18 and stick with 32 gigs of ddr4. Look at price comparisons of upgrading your motherboard, ram, and cpu for ddr4 vs the same for am5. If you upgrade to am5 I would recommend a b650 motherboard, cl30 amd expo ram, and the 7800x3d cpu. For reference my pc is my profile picture I went all out with my first all white high end build with the gigabyte aero oc 4090/ 7800x3d cpu/ nzxt b650e motherboard/ 64 gigs ddr5 cl30 6,000mhz ram in the white phanteks nv7 case. I also paid monthly on my pc using amazon's affirm so you can also do that for your upgrade unless of course if you want to pay all at once.

Why ATX? micro ATX boards are 30 to 50 bucks cheaper and it will fit in a smaller - and cheaper case! And youd need less fans too! You could probably save enough to get yourself a more decent cooler. Nobody needs SLI or xfire nowadays anyway.
