The thing I miss the most are the bots. Sure V might be fun now, but when everyone leaves 1942 will win any day. I also feel that later games have lost some of the strategical value. If you played US on Iwo Jima you could ground the Japanese by taking the airbase. In later games you don't really have that, probably to make things more even.

Never going to happen, as DICE see mods as taking sales from them. Plus I disagree about Frostbite. The actual physics were better in Refractor 2. Compare planes/helis in BF2 with all later games.

Absolutely. A lot of the sandbox has been lost over the years. I miss how many different ways battles could be won and huge the maps felt in the classic games. Since 3 it has all felt so tame by comparison.
