We had none of this in the 80's except for the cigarette ration that we never used and Esso gas. I liked hearing about how things are now. We never lived on post in the six years we spent there. We always lived on the economy and loved every minute of it. Being a rule follower is good for you since you're a military spouse. They sure have to follow the rules...orders is orders 'mamm! We had concurrent travel and had to go to Charleston, South Carolina to get on a World Airways jet that was packed with all military. World Airways had jumbo jets that had 10 seats across with two aisles. My parents drove us up there from Florida and my mother said she had never seen such a sight as all of those people filing out to get on that plane! We landed in Frankfurt and the next day, went to the BAQ (several of them) and were dispersed to all of the different places we were going the next day. You should have seen the buses lined up to pick all of us up. I thought it was a great experience!

With the movers and large electrics take videos if them working properly before they pack things. So if that’s damaged it’s easier to replace.

Unaccompanied baggage was so helpful for my husband and I! We pcsed to Germany when I was 31 weeks pregnant so we were able to get our stuff and get the nursery ready some weeks before I actually went into labor. Our regular house hold goods didn't arrive until almost a week after I had my baby.

Hey Ashley, thank you so much for these videos! As a 2LT PCSing to Ansbach in December, they have been super useful in preparing for the move. I am a single officer and I was wondering if you ever were able to find that facebook group for housing? Thank you in advance!

I wasn’t able to find the Facebook group, but I do know that our housing office has helped with finding housing off post if you want to reach out to them! People also post in our spouses Facebook group for off post housing!
