Just a note if anyone bothers to read this, I highly suggest 32g ddr4 3200mhz ram, then go into the bios enable resizeable bar also in bios set graphics usage to 16g do not exceed 50% of system ram. With msi afterburner I see my graphics usage at close to 6g with this setting turned up, this thing actually games quite decent at 1080. You don’t have to spend a great deal on a gpu with this rig. This is assuming you have a 550 motherboard, if you bought a prebuilt with the 450 I’m not sure about it, the prebuilt pc’s using the 5600g cut corners using cheaper ram/psu/motherboard.

I get some people only have two ram slots and it will work you could buy one stick and add another later, ddr4 is getting cheaper every month now. I just got two 8g sticks 3200mhz on ebay last night for $23, shopped hard for that though.

It will run and we’re not building nasa computers and I understand maybe you motherboard only has two ram slots, you can start with one and add one latter but for maximum performance duel channel is better when it comes to ddr4.

@@amenabdulnasser5081 what processor are you going with ? I use the b450 all the time in the pc's I flip most of the time I use a ryzen 5 5500 as its a good cpu at a good price. The PC i built for the wife I went with a b550 and a ryzen 5 5600 G since it had more ram slots and is pcie 4.0 I think some b450 board support pcie 4.0 but most are 3.0. This is just a speed in which the board/cpu will communicate with other hardware on your motherboard. For casual gaming the 450 is fine. The 550 cost more, I have a 650 in my personal PC but its am5, its alot to learn and your asking the right questions to learn.

My wife does crafting and designs a lot of her own stuff, I just built one of the 3 days ago. Specs were r5 5600g/b550 motherboard with wifi/32g ddr4 3200mhz/1tb wd blue m.2/500 watt bronze power supply/decent case with tempered glass $427 all in. Very pleased with its performance, have installed a few games for when the grandkids are over to play such as Fortnite/valorant/Fallguys all at 1080. Once you get the bios setup correctly this is a peppy machine with resizeable bar. I see prebuilts going for $500 but quality of components is much less than what I built, such as b450 board with single channel 16g 2666mhz ram and a cheap apiva psu. This replaced an old optiplex for her and is a massive improvement. Pretty impressed with it, I’ve always been an intel guy last amd I built was a 486dx4 100mhz ages ago. I highly recommend this ryzen 5, the integrated graphics are way better than I expected.

@@aadirajpandit5569 sure, the wifes old pc when I transfer all the image files she use's and created took like 45 minutes to load onto usb I was getting aggravated it was so slow but literally took minutes to load onto her new pc. She was very relucent to the change but loves it now, the old pc had a hdd, just grab all your wifes files and put them on a flash drive, if yours is like mine there were a lot of them but at least I had showed her how to make folders to store them. She uses this new pc way more as its a lot better and don't feel like a burden to use, she was on a old optiplex. If you go without a video card and just use the apu you can make a nice pc for like $350 to $400, I put in a rx6600 gpu in hers and it games really well at 1080. Now to talk her into a monitor upgrade LOL.

It were not meant for the latest and greatest titles but if you only play like older titles this would be doable. Should have included the older games as well, that would be more adequate and realistic. Listen up, if you want to play the latest and greatest titles, you should not get the APU at the first place. Something like a budget dedicated graphivs card would be much worthy in term of price and performance than this.
