PCT 2023 Day 3

Every year I pick some thru hikers from the PCT and CDT and follow their trekking. Some I take a dislike to pretty quickly and drop them. No, no, you guys ain't it. I like you guys. I think you have the right amount of fun and seriousness. I look forward to your adventure and wish you the best of luck.

snow on mt.laguna, amazing. this section of PCT is usually where hikers are carrying gallon+ water bladders. Keep on.

It makes you wonder what the hills are going to be like if you have snow already. I'm enjoying the daily updates rather than leaving it 2 weeks like others have done previously but I'm aware that sometimes the Trail will dictate otherwise. Thanks for sharing.

A short story about how you guys all got your trail names would be cool in a future video. I know they're probably in your AT Hike videos, but there's no way to search for it. Nice video. I hope you guys are each are carrying quality emergency blankets(like the SOL from AMK) and tealight candles to prevent hypothermia. Learn the hot poncho trick. Be careful. The weather and floods are very dangerous. Expect landslides in a week. With the three of you, one should carry a tarp, one a small snow shovel, and one some extra food in case you guys get stuck somewhere in the mountains. I'm a very old Eagle Scout and believe in the patrol method and Be Prepared. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

Did I here you say one of you is from Ohio? I’m originally from SE Ohio so I have to say Go Buckeyes! In reference to the military ordinance sign, doesn’t that make it awkward to dig a cat hole? Sort of the hikers version of Russian roulette?
