I have been fortunate enough to have hiked the desert section of the PCT 5 times (some on thru hikes,) and I have never seen the flowers like this. Ive seen super blooms, but not like this. You guys are incredibly lucky. Same with the snow, albeit difficult, it is a sight to see the mountains of Southern California under all of that desperately needed snow. You're doing great and lookin great. Keep up the good work.

Very strong winds you guys were dealing with, No point in trying to camp in that, plus the temps plummeting at night. The flowers are still putting on their show. Very pretty.. Prayers for George. He must retrieve his cup at all cost. Take care and happy trails!

Had to cackle at you thinking you're through the wind farm. You're just starting to enter the endless wind farm complex. I was there last year. Hard to keep a dry eye watching scenes I remember so well. Thank you.

Time stamp 9:14 - It reminds me of a comment made by a PCT hiker in 2021. My hiking buddy suggested he should hike hwy I5 to Canada, its much straighter. 😆😆. Enjoying reliving the trail with you guy. I met the guy that maintains that spot with the chairs and umbrella. He had been doing it for 17 years, well before the name Trail Angel came into being. Best of luck to you.

Nice music interludes! That's a weird routing between miles 544 and 547. Could have contoured north around the head of Gambel Spring Canyon, rejoined near 547, and saved one round of PUD. Maybe bad terrain, or lack of property easement. Losing altitude is always annoying. Nice to see the tradition of documenting the current state of Cafe 549. The cache there keeps improving. That wind looked brutal. Good to get indoors out of it.

Wow, why don't they turn those fans off and give you hikers a bit of a break? 😂 Wind is scary. It's a good thing it was blowing you toward the mountain and not off it! 😮

My husband and I are really enjoying your footage of your adventure as he also hopes to someday hike the PCT. We enjoy the quality of the filming of scenery along with the helpful information of each area you encounter. We also like the background music as one of you stated that it was your sister on guitar. He thinks you guys are pretty funny with your witty banter. I also love the "dad jokes" Anyway I would love it if you gave a shout out to my sweetheart "Dave" as he is a big fan. Happy trails ❤

That's incredible, 23 miles and 4800 feet of elevation and a bit of wind! Are people saying the bloom will stick around? I'm heading out that way in next week in hopes to see it. Keep up the great work!

Wow! Spectacular scenery of man made metal. The colors of the sunrise, clouds and masses of yellow flowers! Just WOW!❤. I’m currently surrounded by poppies and lupine in the Sierra foothills. CA just does everything big. I’m from VA which I loved but am never going back after experiencing the beauty and no humidity of CA. Happy trails.

New fan of your channel and hooked on your daily epi's. Just wondering if you ever run across random sketchy peeps out on the trail(?). Breathtaking trails of yellow and blue sky vistas in this one. Sweet! But come on... don't you have to be more like 90 years old to be a Bonafide Codger? I guess y'all got like 30 years to train up...🤠

Good job. You got a lot of miles considering how hugely windy it was. Next stop should be Ridgecrest. It’s a good place to Nero or zero. Tehachapi is a good place to zero. Hope denim Dan gets back with you soon. I’m sure he wants to be back on trail with you all than be home recovering. Walker pass is a challenge enough with wind and PUDs so it’s good you took a break

The trail in that “circuitous” area looks ridiculous! Hike five miles that might only be half a mile as the crow flies! Lol. I have seriously heard of hikers literally getting blown off the mountain in the other area you were talking about, and others who almost did, and had to get off trail until the wind died down. Be careful, but hike on!
