Simply amazing. Followed you from the day you landed in the US. You are easily the sunniest hiker in the Class of 23. You coped with Covid, you coped with tough hiking conditions, you coped with the snow and never once did your smile waver. And you made it to Canada like a star. Massive Congratulations. You are an example for others to follow in determination, in a wonderful attitude, in your friendliness and the sheer joy you have brought to so many of us. I have watched your journey right from the very beginning and cried for you when you reached the norther terminus in Canada! Congratulations on this amazing feat! Your joy was so contagious, even in the midst of all the trials of the trail. Thank you for all the hard work you put into sharing your adventure with all of us while on trail - I can only imagine that wasn't easy either! If you end up in Vancouver, please let me know and I would love to take you out for dinner! Congrats both! I had happy tears for you as well. I never heard of the PCT before this year, nor ever hiked with my tent etc on my back. Ash, thank you for entertaining us this summer with your personal and very entertaining vlogs. After all, one can only tolerate so much dirt, rocks and trees! The PCT dynamics have changed greatly over the years. Though one thing that hasn't changed is the incredible fortitude it takes to face the trail every day with it's diverse terrain and weather and it's highs and lows. Fortitude you got!! Ash - I have LOVED experiencing your epic adventure through your fabulous videos. You bring such warmth, honesty, beautiful music, heart, and fun to your videos, and presumably to your life outside of your hiking adventures. I’m so glad I found your videos early last spring. I still tell anyone who will listen about your adventure, and about our chance meeting in the town of Tehachapi; what an amazing stroke of luck and fortuitous timing after spending weeks tracking your progress through the videos. Congratulations. Posting while hiking is very tough. Thanks for sharing what you could. For your future self, store 2 copies of videos in two separate safe places. The pics that I took 50 years ago on one of my trips are very precious to me. Your videos will be important to you in 20 years. I hope that you enjoyed your visit to the US.
