The physiotherapist you’re talking about who travels she helped my nephew who is currently on the trail. He had both of his Achilles sees up on him, and she did some therapy on him and then explain to him that a different type or brand of shoe would be better for his size because he’s a little heavier and he saw her when he was in Idlewild. He is still hiking and he said his legs feel wonderful so hopefully you can get a hold of her and see her. She’s been a great help to him. It’s called Blaze Physio Mobile

Jim, I think you need to purchase some serious hiking boots with better lower leg and ankle supports for this kind of adventure, those trail shoes or runners of any name just doesn't cut it for this kind of trek. Especially with the extra weight. The boots would go a long way to help your lower leg issue.
