It is impressive to hear non West Coast people say Oregon correctly. Good job.

Bear canisters really are so easy! Thank you for advocating for them. I use mine all the time. Keeps your food organized, safe and intact. And it is a bonus camp chair, just remember to close it all the way before sitting on it or the system can fail.

I've come around to using a bear cannister even when not required. The novelty of doing a "PCT Hang" of my food has worn off and I don't like taking the chance of sleeping with my food anymore. Unlike you, I typically do see a bear, and having one bear encounter where it wants your food is one too many.

Mark your cat holes.....that gives "stick in the mud" a whole new meaning! Love your content!

I live in the Sierra and, yes, trees to hang food are difficult at best. I’ve hung my food many times looking at it and knowing full well that if a bear wanted it, it would have it. Bear canister. I now own all sizes.

Hope to see you guys on the trail! My friend, Willie, and I are starting a Southbound PCT hike from Canada in July! Any plans for you to hike the CDT in the future to become triple crowners?

I do the same with my tent when it's wet. I have 2 X-Mids. So I have the stuff sack it came in, and I bought a DCF bag that'll fit the rain fly when it's wet. I don't want the screen mesh to snag on anything in my pack, and I don't want the rain fly getting everything wet. So I keep them separated until I can dry out the fly. Dang the sun for moving on you! Sheesh! Can't it just sit still for a while!? 😂

When you go out in August? Are you getting filming permits so you can monetise? About time you got something for your troubles. Either that or have buy me a beer on the channel 🤔🙄🙃. There's more than one way to skin a Wabbit.

Hey Codgers, Can’t wait till August. One question, weren’t you using a solar panel to recharge electronics at beginning of PCT? What became of that?
