PCX125 2021 Exhaust Mods & Dyno

got a cheep standard exhaust off a 2021 pcx so stripped it, modified it and then rebuilt it. on the dyno it gave positive results without the fuel table being altered and sounded better too as the standard system is way way to quiet

What screen have you got? You sound local to me, I use a PCX just for commuting to keep the miles off my bigger bikes and safe on fuel. Intrested to see what you’re doing with this, the PCX is spot on but out of its depth on A roads. I think I should have gotten a Forza 350 really but then the cost and mpg it would be better to just use my current bikes. The PCX is currently paying for itself in fuel savings

I bout my pcx to use instead off the car as its way faster than the car time wise and its paid for its self in fuel savings. Cheers fella. Yeh i was surprised how restrictive it was when u pulled the side off it. No wonder it was so quiet. I'm going to get the DB meter out in the next couple days and see how loud it is now. Its not bad at all though. Its way quieter than my 90db cbr600fs

I just modified the standard plate holder so it was shorter and narrower

Standard ecu at the min as it wasn't a huge drastic change to the system so any fueling trims should be made by the lambda

What a great video! Thank you very much! I have the same model PCX and is completely stock, what are you recommendations for give is a little harder acceleration? Doing the same with my exhaust (it's a quiet big job I guess) or go for the malossi multivar vario kit or Dr Pulley sliding rollers? I'm looking forward to your thoughts about it. Thanks in advance. I have a dc parts modified variator and it's worth every penny. Also using 14.5g rollers and have modified the inlet pipe too. I need to get another dyno session now really just to see how its doing now. The exhaist wasn't a big job but I build cars for a living so was quite easy for me. Someone with limited tools and knowledge may struggle. I now also have a stainless LEOVINCE Gp Corsa Evo Carbon exhaust system fitted now but using the pipe with a different silence as the Leo one was way to loud. I'll do an update video this weekend and another dyno run on what's it's got now too

@@mr_mon-eye thanks for your response. Maybe for me the easiest way is to put another variator on it. (DC parts or malossi) the exhaust modification is maybe to complicated for me. Another racing exhaust is not a option because I like the way it sound now (so quiet) thanks again for your help and looking forward to the next video!

Sorry for all the questions. But do you know with how many grams rollers the DC parts variator came? (It's including rollers but I can't find with how many grams.) There is a second option, that's to buy the DC variator with optional Dr Pulley sliding rollers but that are 13gr rollers. Do you think the PCX makes to much rev's with the 13 grams? Sorry for the questions but I try to figure it out. 🙏 Thanks!

@Nick-me9tl honestly it's fine ask away. It came with the 13g rollers and on the 21 to current model I found them way to light and bike was just aimlessly revving all the time. Standard weights off the current model are 18g and found the 14.5 or 15 g weights works great on the road in all situations

If I remember right it was 1" serated & ¾" serated pipes. Both about 12" long and some normal pipe ¾" plus the exhaust sound deadening. All where sourced on ebay and whole thing cost me £30 ish. Plus a bit gas for welding an a couple grinding disks fella

Something is wrong with this test , because in our city wee have a lot of pcx scuters and no mather what exoust have they all go the same , actuality i bought a 700 euro malossi exaust becouse of this video and it changed just the sound and afther 10 days of testing i have returned the exaust

10 days off testing ? What testing did you do for 10 days ? I didn't test what ever exhaust you used so can't comment on that but doing the mods I did to standard exhaust did improve power as proved by the dyno. Don't forget this is only a 12bhp engine so you won't feel a o.5 bhp rise very much either

I have actually never measured is as no one seamed bothered which I find odd as I have with all my other bikes so for you fella I shall measure it tomorrow and then put standard pipe back on and measure it for comparison

It now has a full leovince exhaust but I'm going to change the can to a longer can as its a bit loud for the morning commute. I've also got a bigger pipe to go from the airbox to the throttle body to fit when the new exhaust can comes. I have recently been trying a malossi o² emulator too richen up the fueling but it keeps giving the bike a eml so waiting for malossi to reply about that

I can remove the RPM limiter on this well raise the RPM 1,000 have you got a fb ? I have the software and tools to remap these ECU’s Shindengen

I could make one but you'd be £50 deep on materials (exhaust wadding, perforated pipe and pipe) then the cost off a standard exhaust second hand off ebay. I got a damaged one cheep and repaired the damage so that would cost more in materials and time. Then I'd want £50 to do it all and the postage to return it to you fella

@@Brewer_S2K your 100 pounds sterling deep without the exhaust. Second hand exhaust on ebay ar anywhere from £100 to £150. So very best you will be £200 sterling deep plus postage to where ever you are. If your outside the UK then thats another £50 for postage too
