Thanks again for the video. I'm not quite sure about ur trapsin gear. A pair of 2/2 or 3/2 at lvl 80 can be roll at Anya pretty easily. +3 traps ammy instead of fcr and a PDR belt, no really need for fcr because u don't have tele(Enigma) at lvl 80. I know it's hardcore but u can easily have a WoF at lvl 30+ at lvl 80...

Yeah thats fine, if you wanna spend some extra time gambling amulets or shopping for claws, thats your choice, and it may even be the best way to progress, but not everyone does that, and i wanted to show off how it would look without any specialised gear.

Agree but it's still pretty weak I have also tested it myself. The most efficient trapsin build I ran into was Fire Blast with death sentry. Fire Blast just do way better than wake of fire early on, but it's just a hell cows build. Outside of density areas like cows you can't really rely on death sentry that much due to lack of many corpses.

We love you Futureal ! thank for you videos. Here some comments on the testing. Trapsin - DS seems strong, but it is not early on. WoF kills 2-3 first cows but all other are at 15%hp. It is more fast to keep dragging cows into WoF and steamroll. less then 10min /run with leg grab is the goal here. For the gear, i think the test here might be not relevant. A fresh trapsin should easly get Treachery - ok (+2 skill) Ryme - ok on HC. in cows you shouldn't get hit, so dual +3claw should be the main goal here (missing +2/+3 skill here) Caster ammy - why ? Any gamble +1 is better. (missing +1 here) Lore - ok (+1 skill) Caster weapon - Why ? Anya farm should get you +2 all skill or +3 traps. (missing +1 /+2 more skills here) Caster belt - why ? Any resist + life belt should perfom better. So, the test should be with a +7/+8 all skill character. Sorc - You are right on builds, but if you are playing sorc and want to farm cows at start, player maybe reconsider his class choice. Light into arcane sanctuary is way more profitable on runes, you need to turn off your brain. The goal here is to get currencies really quick. Sorc may also farm keys and bosses to fillup gear stashes.

Its showed with this gear because its in line with the gear that i use on the other characters. If you want to invest some more time gambling for amulets, or shopping claws, thats fine, maybe even the best way to proceed, but as a fair comparisant, i couldnt show up in the cow level with +10 skills on the assassin, when every other class has +2. Not to mention that if you take an hour to get 2 claws and an amulet, thats an hour you didnt farm, wich could result in something greater :D

Because its not just about what you gain, its about what you lose. The difference from having a sanctuary aura mercenary and not, is virtualy nothing. We tested it extensively on stream, and there is virtualy no dps output difference. Now, on the other hand, you lose 9% damage reduction from the act 2 merc, if you go for act 5. You also lose holy freeze from Doom runeword. In my mind, there is no real option between the two when you play hardcore. I will take 1% less damage output on my magic damage, vs holy freeze, much higher dps on my merc and 9% damage reduction from Defiance Aura.

you should try mage necro with grims burning dead and lower res i made a beta video and some people thought that was slow and it was much faster than the necro you showed. people just dont realize how hard early game can be

Really enjoyed it and I'd only have one suggestion on your new format. If you're already recording when you're testing the other builds that you do your TLDR for then I think it would be nice if there was an overlay of some of that footage for the minute or so you're describing the "losing" builds. Doesn't need to be a ton but I would like to see a little bit of their crappy performance while you're describing why they didn't make the cut. 🙂

Appreciate the comment and suggestion! For me its more of a editing issue. As you say, i do have all the footage, but the editing of the videos will take so much more time. Also, if i see a build is garbage immediately, i dont bother checking all the areas that is desired to farm early.

It should still be good, i would probably respec when i could afforde infinity in my mercenary. You can use HOTO and the entire trang oul set, its very cheap, and easy to change out parts with better corruptions later, and then finally replace the HOTO with beast in a low str req weapon when you can afforde it.

for the earlygame it really depends on the amount of gear you randomly end up with. for instance trap sins become very strong if youre lucky enough to have 8-10 + skills on claws and amulets and stuff. In general, the stronger builds on low level were hammerdin, foh, bone necro, summon druid, summon zon, whirlwind barb.

You mentioned sanctuary aura isn't useful, but isn't it the case that it lowers magic resist in the new season? So won't it have utility for anything with any magic resist? and even without it would still be like 10% more damage?

IF there was no other alternative, it would be alright, but you have to remember what you lose by picking it. in the current ideration of the game, its no strong enough to outweigh the other options in my opinion. Thanks for the reply!

You will have that in the endgame videos. The reason i did it like this for earlygame, is to find the build that everyone "should" be playing until they have a little bit of gear, and use that to transition into the build that they intend to play for the season.

The endgame builds are already decided this season, and fire wall did not make the cut. I can see it being reasonably good, but its very one-dimentional for me. No, i dont see any point in testing spells that are broken. I did look at arctic blast for about 4 seconds, and i realised standing still and channeling a spell on hardcore, in melee range, is not a good idea :D

Its a psn reliant melee build, id say it would be quite weak for early game, like most other melee builds ive tested, but its reasonable for endgame. Will probably preform quite well in fortified maps.

That is only true if you also include hills and slopes that a normal car cant drive. Its just a modded version of the game with tougher areas, wich results in some gear changes being necessary. Its very good once you get a hang of it.

Good stuff dude. About WSM bug - I also saw this in the patch notes, but I don't believe they can actually remove that. It's not a bug, but a game mechanic for dual-wielders. Would be curious to see if it has been actually removed - did anyone actually test? If indeed so, double-throw barb becomes one of the worst builds in pd2 after s6. There is no chance to reach final ias breakpoint anymore. Frenzy/Dswing also nerfed via that... sadge... it's a classic and pretty bad to see this go. Also, the strongest lvl 80 necro build, imo, would be the phys summoner necro, which you didn't test, maybe ( I didn't hear skelly war+archers build mentioned)? Also, day 1 I would be doing only nm meph and nm cows - you are bound to get +skills gear from good ol' meph.

I did test it, i was using 1 lacerator and one glaive with no attackspeed, and wich ever way i equipped it, unlike before, i had the same attackspeed. The bug is not obtainable anymore, unless there is some other unknown way of doing it. The thing it does is give both weapons the same speed as your fastest weapon. So Throw barb is still a great build. End game builds coming out later this week one by one.
