this video is made to clear the pdd adjustment when old pdd and new pdd both are given... if there is no old pdd, then there is no worries and no confusion at all !!!!! As I said, PDD is a liability.. So in that case a liability is created .. it is a loss for business, hence we have to calculate PDD as a % of debtors and we have to take it in debit side of Revaluation account. 2nd entry in balance sheet asset side - just deduct it in Debtors value... Thats it !!!!! You are unnecessarily worrying for easy adjustment 😊

means the goodwill given in balance sheet should be written off fully. ಇನ್ನು ಅದರ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ firm ಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಾ. so we have to decrease full amount of PDD. means profit for us. So under credit side of revaluation account, take full amount of PDD. and we will take only debtors inner column amount in new balance sheet. we should not deduct PDD there

I think you are asking about Goodwill treatment. For PDD there is no Accounting Standards given in your syllabus right? so I am answering it for goodwill treatment 👇 Don't bother much.. Untill the next modifications to Accounting standards, same treatment will be applied for goodwill. So this year also you have to treat goodwill in the same way as per AS 26. This treatment is as per Accounting standard 26. (AS 26). This standard deals with the accounting effects for various intangible assets including goodwill. I hope this answer helped you in clearing your doubts 👍

It is even more simple !! no need to worry about increase or decrease.. Bcoz there is no any old pdd given... You just calculate % of pdd on debtors and deduct it from debtors in balance sheet. And another effect in revaluation account. As there is no pdd maintained earlier, whatever we have calculated now is an increase in PDD. As PDD is a liability, any increase in liability is loss for us. so will be shown under debit side of revaluation account !! simple !!
