pdftk: Embedding a Table of Contents in a PDF file with pdftk

I demonstrate how to embed a table of contents in a PDF file using "pdftk" command on Linux.
BTW I could've done Level 1 TOC entries in 1 command, not sure why it didn't occur to me. Goes like this:
Find: ^Lieder.*$
Replace: BookmarkBegin
BookmarkTitle: \0
BookmarkLevel: 1
BookmarkPageNumber:

I don't know if you'll see this since it's been almost 2-1/2 years since you posted this video, but thank you so much for it!!!!! With the info you provided I was able to code logic in a system I'm writing to parse the metadata of the individual PDFs that it creates, and to use that information to automatically create a 3-level TOC for the final concatenated PDF using pdftk. And, of course I can't help but admire your taste in music ;-)

Does jPDFbookmarks work with Linux? It's a Java app I use in Windows that focuses only on the bookmark aspect of PDFs. It cuts way down on the chance of error input.

Gabriel Sandoval you mean so that "page 1" is after the front matter, on the first page of actual content? I've never tried that but it must be possible because certain files I've seen do this. Very good question...
