Brian, After watching numerous Semi Casual videos, I've got to tell you that you are an excellent narrator. You, like your buddy Troy Massey, have a gift , and a unique style for creating and presenting truck related content on KZbin. Good job.

Watch your channel regularly and its fantastic. One question have you guys built a dropped floor flattop Peterbilt 359 or 379? Back in the day when the length law changed in the 80's, I came across a driver leased to 3-WAY a United Van Lines agent. He had such a rig but the Peterbilt flattop was stretched to 96".

That engine is really sharp, but I see two orange parts (a boot on the upper passenger side and what looks like a hose front driver side) that stick out like a sore thumb - no alternatives for changing those out? Just curious - they glared out at me against the other really nice work.

I believe that you are making a big mistake on putting the CB Mount and Antenna on the roof why ? Because if you put a average size antenna it will be too long and High. 24 inch antenna won't fit and give you too high SWR'S

Chrome on a engine is hard to seal to not leak And if you are going to work that truck it will probably run on the hot side Chrome holds the heat not good for an engine

Chrome looks so cheap and tacky on an engine and it doesn't matter if it's a classic car or a semi truck. Chrome fasteners look cheap and tacky as well. Why paint the cheap stock Monroe shocks, install a set of fox shocks. Polished or brushed aluminum and stainless steel looks so much nicer and classier. The ac compressor should have been disassembled, polished and clear coated along with the alternator and any other engine accessories. The turbo exhaust housing should be ceramic coated and I am not talking about the garbage ceramic coating used on headers. There is a ceramic coating used on the hot section components of gas turbine engines and the finish is a flat gray color. I have had many turbo exhaust housings costed that way. 20 years ago I started using 12pt polished stainless steel hardware and 12pt polished titanium hardware wherever possible. Why would you countersink and weld bolts into the frame, that is pointless since there is a much easier and better way. Get yourself a stud welder so you can weld studs to the frame for anything you need to mount. I have a Nelson 1500i which welds 3/16" to 3/4" diameter threaded studs. I use stainless steel studs with 12pt stainless steel flange nuts or 12pt acorn nuts and when I paint I mask the threaded part off. Since I have had this stud welder I have found more and more uses for it. My business is building custom cars, hot rods and resto-mods. The level of detail in the custom car industry is so far beyond what it done on semi trucks. I am currently building a w900 for my business that will be used for transporting show cars and I am taking the build of my w900 to the next level and I will probably never take it to a truck show. My buddy owns an aerospace composites business and I am putting a lot of carbon fiber parts on my w900. So far I have done a carbon fiber visor, air cleaner cans, rear fenders, deck plate, cab floor, overhead console, headliner, complete dash, door panels, sleeper cabinets and trim and I am considering doing carbon fiber exhaust stacks. The straight sections of the exhaust stacks are easy to wind over a mandrel, the elbows are the complicated part since the winding mandrel must be dissolvable in water.
