PDP Concept Maple (stage mix)

This was the ending of a nice gig with the amazing blues/rock band Easterfield at HelloFestival 2024 in Emmen, the Netherlands. Ending with the song "Oh well", officially by Fleetwood Mac, always seems to do the trick.

Kit sounds great! Was trying to decide should I sell a kidney to get the DW series kit or would the PDP with upgraded heads get the job done. Verdict is I will keep the kidney. Thanks for posting.

Hahah, Thanks a lot! I had the same issue. I do recommend 2 ply drumheads on top and bottom because of the tom resonance. The shell construction is different than DW's. However, in this video I play: - Remo Pinstripe clear on top; - Remo Powerstroke 4 clear (muffled) on bottom; - Remo Emperor SMT clear kickbatter. Now I play: - Remo Powerstroke 4 coated on top; - Remo Powerstroke 4 clear (muffled) on bottom. I do recommend the last combination with medium tuning for an amazingly versatile sound on stage and in the studio. Makes PDP sound like a €5000 drumkit in my opinion.
