Having a preferred candidate and supporting someone to succeed you doesn't make you a godfather does it means Godwin Obaseki to handover the state coffers to criminals? that I can call mentorship! Obaseki is too democratic and learned to behave like a1coholic man like se1fish Wike

You raise a valid point. Every good leader must have a succession plan. Nothing wrong with Obaseki having a preferred candidate. Biden was Obamas preferred candidate. The issue with Obaseki is not allowing a level playing ground. Mentor, Tutor do not impose!! That is where he failed

@@charlesesene1898: My brother there is a big difference between projecting and promoting ones preferred candidate and imposing ones preferred candidate. Imposing a candidate means others are being forcefully stopped from contesting, and that is not the case in Edo state PDP. What Gov Obaseki has done is to have his preferred candidate and he has every right to do so. Moreover, Gov Obaseki preferred candidate, Asue Ighodalo has campaigned more than all the other 9 candidates put together. And he is still campaigning from one LGA to another meeting with PDP stakeholders while few of the other candidates are moving from one TV station to another chasing their own shadows.
