Last video I watched was Sturmovik and an escort that actually worked. Had hopes, the “Guaranteed Varnished Coffin” (aka Lagg-3) ought to do OK against Messerschmitts distracted by attacking bombers. When I actually played the game before (5-6 years ago) I seem to recall that they nerfed the Peshka’s defensive guns, because they were thought to be overpowered. It may depend on model, but I believe some of those guns are 12.5 mm (or so) and ought to do better.

the top and belly guns are 12.7 mm, and yes they can 1-shot a 109. aiming them accurately is v tough tho
