Sir when the free wheeling diode is conducting from pi to pi+ alpha according to KVL we get Vs= Vt1+ Vd1. Then how Vt1 is zero during that period ?? Kindly resolve this doubt.

If T1 and T1 are not conduction, then in loop Vs-T1-T2-Vs apply KVL. it gives Vt1+ Vt2 = Vs. So, it shouldn't be 0 IMHO>

@@prosendey2832 THat was my point. What sir showed may be incorrect. I presented my logic using KVL. just think about this, Vs has to appear somewhere . you can't force source voltage to 0. So, where does it appear ? It should be across thyristor
