That seemed like it had the potential of being a new land-based record. Great effort. Often times I think it's better when you can't land them all. It's part of what makes the sport remarkable. To have a fish rip that much line with heavy gear and a heavy drag is an honor, even if it parts ways from you.

Jigs are the best for fishing for tuna in the Adriatic Sea from the shore. The rule is to put a jig that is as similar as possible to a small fish that is in that area in terms of size and color, which is usually blue or greenish blue

Need more line capacity! Awesome fish. edit: actually watching the whole video you probably have enough capacity. A leader might help stop the Tuna's mouth from rubbing through the line. Wow you are lucky. I wish I had the chance of catching fish like that where I live.

​@@nasticivanThe Daiwa Saltiga 12 fiber braid is more strong than any other ( but the diameter is not well measured ) But I think you can not let It run 400 m because the retrieve will be impossible, the tuna is very heavy and sinks when you are winning metres in your spool....there is no rest if you want to have options; must stop it helped with the sistem you"ve developed so can help your arms to fight at 40 pounds dragg , stop it at 200 m and between both you make the faster retrive posible because he gets tired when runs against the Rod and the drag but when really really gets tired is when you turn his head so the poor ventilation he gets decreases his power in a drastic way. The more brutal you start the fight and the more brutal you keep it , the bigger fish you can catch when you fish on land based spinning. If you let it swim with low drag to remain strong until it stops at 400 m...you will reallize you ( no body) remains so strong

There was no slightest chance to land that fish. Even when she stopped, it couldn't be pulled. I think 100kg is about max to land from shore, but that depends on fish too. 200+ kg BF, no way.
