Looks great. When we make split pea soup here in California, USA, we use a lot more peas. It comes out green. I hope you and The Dinner Lady and your family have a great new year and a happy and successful year.

Happy New Year to you both.As ham bones are hard to get in my neighborhood I buy smoked Turkey leg to make pea, and ham soup,it tastes very similar to ham, and has a lot of meat on it. I usually use a pound bag of dried peas soaked when I make it, and find it goes thick enough without blending any of it. Looking forward to all your and Amanda’s 2025 recipes.🍾🎊🍺🎈🍺

I used to love the soups after Christmas. Pea and ham with the stock from boiling my ham, and turkey broth from the carcass of the turkey. Only me now, so no point buying these and I really miss the soup off the turkey. It was delicious, especially after having herb butter put under its skin. Chicken soup I still do, but turkey was even better. Enjoy your soup guys and good wishes for the new year ahead xx
