Most younger music listeners, don’t know that Peabo Bryson was a popular R&B singer in the 70’s and 80’s with a string of hits, Mainly Ballards, he’s probably more familiar to the younger generations for his recording of Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion, and the theme from ALADDIN “ A whole new world, which he recorded with Regina Belle, his version of that song was nominated at the Grammys for Record of the year and Best pop performance by a duo, or group, Peabo Bryson is without a doubt one of the most underrated male vocalist of our time.

When I was in high school, Peabo Bryson had a few very popular songs that are worth listening to for your reaction. In addition to "I'm So into You", they are: "Feel the Fire", "Reaching for the Sky", and "Crosswinds". He also did a duet called "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love to You" with Roberta Flack. Trivia: Peabo's first album was released in 1976, and both Luther Vandross and Cissy Houston (Whitney Houston's mother) sang background, along with others.

I remember when this album came out. My good friend introduced me to Peabo Bryson. I was over her house and looking through her records. I said, who is this? She said he is a new artist. I fell in love with his voice. She let me borrow the album. I kept the album for a month before I gave it back to her. Then I went and bought it at the record store called Peaches.
