Soprano Gina Piroli Howard and myself reunited again for "Peace on Earth/Silent Night" by Peggy Lee. It was sublime. You might ask "Where have I heard this song before?" It is the Silent Night from the iconic Disney movie "The Lady and the Tramp". Thank you Gina - it was great to sing with you again.
My present to the Carolers this year was to offer them the opportunity to stretch outside the box of acappella quartet singing and present solo's, duets, and/or singing with instrumental music. Our Dec 28th Grotto Carolers Soloist concert at the Grottos Festival of Lights in Portland, OR. A calm, meditative evening of gorgeous music that melted away the frenzy of Christmas. The Grotto Carolers are under the direction of Julie Stewart. (Note I contacted ASCAPs New York Web Licensing Department and they said I could post our concert on both Facebook and You-Tube.)
