I’ve got a couple of kids and they aren't into jazz. But one day I played Bill Evans for them, and they were like, 'Jesus, that's pretty good.' So I think it's great that young people are just discovering Bill Evans, and I want young people to discover Bill Evans. I think he's a great artist, and I think more people should listen to him and respect the beauty that he was able to create.

Evans is the master of piano - transcending beyond Jazz. He uses classical elements of complex harmonies, but his rubato is in a class of his own. Sensitive, intelligent and often touching music like no other. I've enjoyed him since a child as my Jazz musician father had about 20 of his albums. Peace Piece is special though, and holds a place in my heart forever!

Peace Piece was already one of my favorite pieces, but when the storm faded into the mix I wept. Awesome!!! A perfect fit.

It sounds exactly like this. The sound of the sun shining at a storm . This is what it sounds like. When one plants so many seeds that seem not to sprout , after spending months on end trying to water each one and yet no sign of growth seems to appear, instead all you find growing is just garden weats. Removing weats more than nurturing the flower to blossom or pruning the tree that to bring good harvest when it's time. All the while praying for rain to fall down so the seeds you've planted can receive their very own gift of life. This is what you'll hear in the sky above the clouds and on top of the stars somewhere in heaven. When the Lord takes his time to water your garden , when God decides to go down and make something fruitful and bountiful from the soil. This is what the sound of a prayer that the Almighty hears and answers in due season. This sounds like when a small mustard seed gradually grows into BEING 😮the biggest TREE in the A GARDEN. THIS SOUNDS LIKE ENOUGH WATER TO GROW A BEAUTIFUL GARDEN.

This song also has similarities to the Miles Davis classic, "Flamenco Sketches". If I'm not mistaken, Bill Evans plays piano on that song too. I'm playing them simultaneously right now, and it sounds pretty cool: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIXaoWSpnLp9qK8 😎

@@hellostranger3889 Salty because Bill Evans is Bill Evans. He can't be 'improved'. Like the horrible jazzing up of Bach. If you can't create for yourself then don't mess up someone else's work. Reader's Digest mentality. But . . . its only my view. There are others, equally valid.

I don't like this at all. I'm not a purist and I don't hold anything sacred (or to be honest, very few works). I believe everything can be manipulated into new forms (just like nature itself mix and manipulate genes into new mutations) and I quite enjoy deconstructive art forms, as well as abstract or mix-media work, surrealist or various forms of contemporary and/or provocative expressions. But this is like putting sunglasses on Michelango's 'David' and think you have created 'art'. This only demonstrates a lack of artistic imagination and is poorly executed. Bill Evans will very likely have an eternal life, but this trash will soon be forgotten.
