Peaceful Mindanao Nature Adventure in Zamboanga Del Sur, Lake Maragang (Part 1)

Zamboanga Del Sur is a province in Southern Mindanao. I drove my scooter to Pagadian City and then found myself on an adventure with the Mindanao Mountaineering Federation. This is "Part 1" of my journey to the small village of Tigbao, and trekking up to the beautiful Lake Maragang in Zamboanga Del Sur.
In this video you will see my experience of "Toploading" on a Jeepney, finding wild Santol fruit and experiencing the beautiful pristine nature of Mindanao. A lot of people forget that Mindanao is home to lots of natural beauty just waiting to be explored.
As I say in the video:
"No if you are a foreigner you shouldn't just wander off in the middle of nowhere."
But if you do a little research, talk with locals (or join mountaineering groups)... there is a lot of safe beautiful places you can explore :)

Kyle I think your doing such a great thing to Mindanao maybe it will only take one person to make a difference I pray that the terrorist in those areas can see the potential opportunity that they can profit off like business in tourism. AM glad to see a foreigner exploring Mindanao. Maybe sometime you can visit Mindanao. Yes, Davao is the best place. You can find many British people in the malls and all over the place. and the standard of living is cheaper than where you stay now, This is the home of the Durian fruit because this is the Durian City. Keep looking and looking for more better place. Rental here is cheaper too

Kulas, Zamboanga del Sur is part of Western Mindanao not Southern Mindanao. Pero salamat kaayo sa pagbisita sa akong lugar nga gidak-an.

another way of 'opening" santol when we were kids (because our mouth were not BIG ENOUGH to put the santol in our mouth to open).... we :cupped" the santol on both hands, then we put our hands IN-BETWEEN our thighs (oh, make sure the santol is positioned "upright"-- that is, the part where you "snapped" it from the tree is on TOP)... then you do a QUICK but forceful PRESS of BOTH your hands with the HELP of your thighs, the santol would soon.. BREAK in HALF)... I DARE YOU TO TRY IT IN ONE of your NEXT videos...(then shout me out pls,hahahaa). God bless... Have you found also WILD GUAVAS---be careful in eating then.... those fruits will NOT ONLY make the owners wild, BUT ALSO your parents! Ask those close to you, WHY!!!! hahaha....#hopetheygotmyjoke

The santol seed or buto must be small enough to swallow or lunokin but in your case it is too big it could get stuck on your throat.
